Close proximity to the venue we were going to. Breakfast was very good
Probably in need of a good renovation some areas especially the hallway and bedroom looked very tired. Downstairs in the bar area it was quite nice
Free parking outside the hotel. Plenty of character. Good sized bedroom and bathroom. Good selection of drinks in the bar and very good, hoe cooked, freshly prepared food. Bar appeared to be popular with locals.
Bedroom decor felt that it was trying just a bit too hard with fake wood (plastic) head board and mirror surround and wood panel wall paper (not the real thing). Walk-in shower was poor as necessary to get right in to turn it one (get wet in process) and impossible to change water temperature from scalding hot (this was reported to the hotel). Although breakfast was freshly cooked to order service was slow. Also, breakfast not available until 7.00am so not good if an early start is required.
Good location close to A1 but away from traffic noise. Lovely friendly staff with great evening meal options and breakfast. Furniture in room a little weary but very clean , plenty of hot water and great bath. would stay again.
Room 3 music noise from bar below in the morning ! Not unexpected though in an old coach house pub estasblishment.
Very clean and comfy, the food was excellent and very friendly bar staff
Lovely village, great hotel/pub, lots of character. The bed was so comfortable, the staff were brilliant and the food was amazing too. Really enjoyed our stay.
