Kitchen was great and we could have most of our meals here or sitting outside
Bunk beds in Family room were hard and unsuitable for our adult daughter.
Lockers on the room were big and you got your own key for it. Breakfast. Location. Clean. Friendly staff. This was more like a hotel than a hostel.
Quite pricey in the end, because I stayed at 4-person female dorm. Breakfast was good but you had to buy it separately. Private parking was quite expensive for one motorcycle. Sauna was about 15 euros.
After interrailing 3 weeks around Europe and accommodating in top central locations in London, Paris, München and other places, we first felt when walking from Södra train station to Zinkensdamm that now we have chosen a location that is in the middle of nowhere. But we were wrong: such delightful neighborhood with big lively park for hanging out, playing minigolf, dipping in the sea, watching acrobats and beach volley players training! There are also restaurants nearby, if you don't want to eat at the site. (Ho(s)tel's restaurant doesn't have many vegetarian choices.) I totally recommend Zinkensdamm especially for families with children. Unfortunately, the hostel/hotel doesn't have and picnic blankets to rent, so you have to bring your own. The hostel/hotel itself was convenient. We (me, my husband, my two teenage daughters) stayed on the hostel site for two nights. The smallish family room had a toilet and a shower and the air conditioning. We used also the customer kitchen and laundry. (The building is a mace, feels like an adventure, when searching places.) We liked our stay and would go there another time, too. Didn't miss Södermalm's hipster side at all.
The location was great. Green and near the beach. Walking distance to the OLD TOWN. Definitely recommend for the families with babies.
Just two outlets in the middle of the 4 persons room.
