Terry, the owner, is an excellent host. Would go back. The history of the house and family that built it, as told by Terry, was quite interesting. A unique experience
It was beautiful and 'oldy worldy' as I expected and I was not disappointed. We were met by Terry who showed us to our room and gave us recommendations for places to have dinner. The room was really pretty and did have an ensuite toilet and spa bath in the bedroom behind a privacy screen. The fireplace was decorative, though we were happily warmed by the reverse cycle air conditioner. The accommodation is right on the Gordon River and is a very short walk to the restaurant strip and wharf where the day cruises leave from. Breakfast was simple fare, though very elegant. We were delighted with the dedication to detail put into all aspects.
There wasn't a fridge in the room, though there was a communal one where milk could be obtained for in-room coffee etc. Parking can be a little squishy, especially when there is a function there as well.
Unique property good history
Really interesting place to stay with lots of history. Our host was very helpful and friendly.
Lighting in rooms was not sufficiently bright
Good welcoming....history...wine...cheese. Breakfast....very good. Overal service was very good. Walking distance to yown center
Da1....bed made, tea and coffee cups cleaned.etc. etc Day 2 only towels replaced...dirty cups and wine glasses still there. Bed as we left it. Not good.
