Friendliness of all staff from chamber maid to rececptionist
Thought rooms a bit small for price - but terrace magnificent
The front desk staff was welcoming, friendly, helpful and accommodating. Having a swimming pool on site is a plus. Breakfast served with freshly cooked local veggies and good variety of dishes.
Our beds (twins) were uncomfortable for us.
First of all, the courtesy of the staff is second to none. Secondly the Villa enjoys oustanding views of Mount Etna and is located in a quiet area of Taormina. The City centre can be reached by the shuttle service offered by the hotel.
No. However being a small hotel of around 27 rooms, I would suggest a happy hour where hotel residents can have the opportunity to get to know each other and share experiences.
The location and staff at the hotel were EXCELLENT.Superb views were beautifull to wake up to.The accomidations were superb for me and my family.(clean, modern & classy) The staff of Pierro,Kathereen, and the rest were so helpfull in everyway possible. They could not do enough for us.Great recomendations on restaurants.Plenty ways to get to center city especially by hotel taxi service.Wonderfull breakfast buffet with breath taking views.
I would not hold this against Villa Angela but if you are looking for a beach resort this hotel is far from beach. You just have to make accomidations to get there by taxi service or tram which may be a little hastle, but the trade off is worth it.
We had an excellent family room of a king and two singles at a reduced rate (summer special at E360/night from E500). The villa is almost at the top of the mountain village and had wonderful views of Etna, the town and coastal towns. Although slightly out of the main part of town, there is a spectacular walk down to the town's main street (and either a Villa shuttle return of Taxi (E10). The staff was excellent in helping us retrieve an ipod from the previous hotel we visited and was keen to point out places to eat in the village. This was the best hotel we stayed in during our tour by far.
Fantastic hotel, terrific location, staff were impeccable, well worth the the expensive rate.
The food - fantastic breakfast buffet..probably the best we had at any of the hotels in Italy. They offer lunch, too, which was also wonderful. Excellent chef.
Had a problem with our dry cleaning - sheet said if they received it by 9:00 am we would have it back by 7:00 pm. However, it was not returned that evening and we had to wait for it the day after it was due which delayed our departure by 3 hours. Since the hotel is the one promising, they really should have waived the cleaning fee whether it was the fault of the dry cleaner or their own.
1. The staff are fantastic: they are all really interested in making sure you have a great stay. 2. the rooms are modern and clean, and the dining facilities are very good: plenty of breakfast choices. This was a very good hotel, and in a great location on top of the town. I was very pleased with this choice of hotel, and would recommend it to others.
Two minor items just to be aware of: 1. be careful going in and out of the parking lot (which sits on top of hotel), as the 'ramps' are steep and you can bump the bottom of your car on them. 2. just be aware that the rooms have thin walls, and sound travels well in the corridors!
Very friendly & helpful staff, lovely well appointed room, fantastic breakfast on the terrace overlooking the bay & Mount Etna!
the best hotel we have ever stayed in!!! excellent value for money, the best view from a bedroom window i have ever seen!!!! the most helpfull staff, no children, very relaxing, healthy food, great pool, just the right ammount of rooms, very modern, Jim Kerr, very nice down to earth man.... loved it!!!! my wife will not go anywhere else.
