The Telluride Hotels Mountain Lodge at Telluride is right on Telluride Mountain and nestled in the middle of the San Juan Mountains in Colorado. The Durango-La Plata County Airport is about 45 miles from the hotel while the Telluride Ski Resort is only a couple of thousand feet away. There are 97 non-smoking rooms with upscale amenities and quality services and pet-friendly rooms are available.

The guestrooms blend modern style with Western charm to create lodging with everything a guest could need. The rooms have jetted tubs, gourmet kitchens, warm fireplaces, and free wireless Internet access. The Lodge Rooms are created for one to two guests will the suites offer more space and include private balconies. The property also provides condos with extra space and luxury log cabins that can offer up to six bedrooms. The rooms have flat-screen televisions, dining areas, iPod docks, leather furniture, sleeper sofas, and more.

This ski-in and ski-out lodging is ideal for those who enjoy time in the outdoors. A gondola takes guests to the nearest ski resort where downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, heli-skiing, and snowboarding take place over 1,700 acres and 66 ski trails. There are also hot springs available so chilly guests can warm up in the mineral pools.

Dining is available on-site at The View Bar & Grill which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are several restaurants in the area as well from Gondola Grounds Coffee to the Rusty Rhino, Tomboy Tavern, and Siam’s Talay Grill. Crazy Elk Pizza is also rated highly by guests.

Pros (+) The views, the full kitchen, fireplace, and the entire property was amazing. It was also a 5 min walk to the market and gondola in order to go over to the town of Telluride.

Pros (+) Beautiful view from the room, comfortable bed, easy walk to the nearby gondola that goes to town, relaxing hot tub and sauna.
Cons (-) The lower level room didn’t let in a lot of light and the hallway could get a little noisy from other guests and the housekeepers. Complementary breakfast, or a voucher for the restaurant, would have been appreciated.
