6.7 Good
Pros: The swimming pool area is beautiful
Cons: Food was terrible. The main restaurant closes early and they dont even know how to cook scrambled eggs or even french fries which are common food worldwide. Wouldn’t expect this at a 4star hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The concierge service specially Josianne was very helpful to me In sunning my stay in Moorea
Cons: The wifi service was poor Frequent disconnections Interrupting my upload work
6.7 Good
Pros: Hotel have two nice swimming pools
Cons: Hotel is located on the other side of island. As such big and exclusive hotel was the only one who don’t provide transport. Hotel is beautiful but as we travel around French Polynesia this one was my least favorite. It’s definitely overpriced!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Walking into the lobby was just beautiful I love the shells and decor it was so really pleasant. Amazing facilities from the bikes. dolphins and turtle centre and also the free pick up and drop off to neighbouring restaurants was an awesome service they provided! Our favourite restaurant during our one week trip overall was Tiahura! We also enjoyed a lovely massage from their spa.
Cons: Can't think of anything
10.0 Excellent
Cons: very detailed orientated arrangement got our check in/out and local transportation.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely resort. Good choice at breakfast.
Cons: Food expensive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The overwater bungalow was Incredible. Loved being able to jump in the ocean from our room. The staff was fantastic.
Cons: The cleaning of our room got worse throughout the week. They did not clean our tubs or showers, and there were small bugs in that area frequently.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very good, the location of the hotel was great; away from what few people there are on the island. The room and it’s location was great which we expected since we booked a premium overwater bungalow. Moorea is a terrific island, laid back and peaceful. The buildings of the Tahiti hotel were much nicer but it may be newer and thus the difference. However, the island of Moorea was a much nicer place to be unless you want shopping and lots of people of the island (which we don’t). The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful, every one of them. Breakfast buffet was excellent and plentiful.
Cons: Parts of the room are showing wear i.e. closet doors are heavy and difficult, bathroom lighting not very bright. Not much negative. It met our needs and reached our expectations. It was during the Covid 19 crisis which affected how things were done but no fault of the hotel. Wish we would have had at least some warning that they were going to shut down all the activities-snorkel gear, kayaking, etc instead of the way it was handled.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Intercntinental is in a beautiful location with Dolphins and Turtles directly on the beach . The food was ok, and the staff very kind and helpful ! We would come anytime back again ! The Dinner was delicious and we didnt need to wait to long to be served . The Breakfast was also nice. You have many water activities which we have enjoyed a lot . We will come back for sure again !
Cons: Unfortunately no Sauna or Steamroom available and the smal Gym is missing some equipment ! But otherweise was everything perfect, thanks for the hospitality !

7.0 Good
Pros: the Pool ,
Cons: the unit was to far away
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nice pool. Nice that all the recreational equipment is free snorkle, canoe, paddle boards. Location is good near a small town with grocery store, banks, restaurant car rental tours and some shopping.
Cons: I was stunned that an employee was visibly sick, left work sick and then returned sick to work the next day. I informed staff of this and they laughed, they thought it was funny. With the current pandemic this is unacceptable, he put peoples lives in danger. I did not have the heart to tell the 2 young girls whose coconut he cut for them that more than like he had infected the. Inexcusable. Spent the next day in our room until we departed. Breakfast was awful and way over priced and wecwrrent fussy about the meals at the restaurant there either. Beach wasn't the greatest.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Manava was low key and beautiful, perfect for our honeymoon. The overwater bungalow was amazing. Beautiful views, friendly staff, very well kept and clean property. Loved the pool and kayaks/paddleboards for guests to use. 10 Minute walk to nearby restaurants and shops, although these are overall limited on the island. Only wish the food at the resort restaurant was better and more reasonably priced. Staff was helpful in booking dinner reservations and excursions. Would recommend rudys restaurant, carmelines for breakfast, the atv tour and beginners scuba dive. Overall wonderful resort and would highly recommend!
Cons: Restaurant was overpriced, buffet was not great
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was fine
Cons: Coming in room to much! Once a day is enough!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room with swimming off the back deck. Walking distance to a town.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic layout. Nice landscape , just beautiful! Our bungalow over water was absolutely amazing! Pool was big, clean & well maintained.
Cons: Main dining room staff service fair. Does not seem to care about serving !
7.0 Good
Pros: breakfast, pool, bar food area, our beach front bungalow
Cons: Front entrance from street needs to be improved.
7.0 Good
Pros: The tranquility
Cons: The Wi Fi , the service seemed to be slower if the staff thought you were local. Catering staff mainly
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The resort was clean and not crowded. Watersports activities were included in the room price, kajaking and SUP was super cool. The hotel has a nice house reef, perfect for snorkeling. The staff was friendly and really nice. Overall a good experience and stay.
Cons: The wifi is in the room almost not working, only in some spots. It is annoying, however Moorea is an ideal place for a digital detox :) The breakfast is overpriced with 35€, the continental buffet was nothing special. The baguette was not fresh and the breakfast was overall okay, but not super delious or extraordinary. Our room could need some renovation, there were cracks in the wall paint and ceiling. The rental bikes (not included) should be exchanged, because they were old.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel with good facilities.
Cons: Hotel feels old and could use some maintenance and an update.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Residence Moorea Sunset Beach in Moorea-Maiao, you'll be near the beach, just a 5-minute walk from Coco Beach and 11 minutes by foot from Le Petit Village. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, only 3 minutes walking distance to the best beach on the island! Those little houses have everything you need, are confortable and very charming. I loved the covered patio. Staff was welcoming and always helpful. If I ever make it back to Moorea, I will stay here again!
Cons: Little noise insulation with the neighboring attached house.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Super close to what we thought was the best beach on the island, next door you can hire kayaks and snorkel among amazing coral and fish. Friendly helpful staff, clean and new bungalow with all the amenities you would want!
Cons: No restaurants on site but next door has a restaurant and kitchen overlooking the water that you can pop across to.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very nice, the location is excellent, the beach in front is probably one of the best in the island, just put your snorkel gear and head to the corals, its like swimming in a aquarium. The facilities are good in general, parking, wifi and house appliances work perfectly. Our house was recently painted and it still smelled like paint a bit, nothing too bad.
Cons: The room wasn't that clean, there wasn't dirt per se but the floor was sandy.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good size place that has obviously been updated with a nice kitchen, washer and dryer. The property sits on a gorgeous beach that was barely busy even on the weekends. My unit (#50) was a “first floor” suite (upper level of a two floor building). I was lucky enough to have a peekaboo ocean view and just steps from the glorious beach. The property is in a good area close to shops, restaurants and the Intercontinental Hotel. And a reminder that this property is basically a condo type hotel so only the bare minimum is provided for amenities. You will have to provide everything to stock the kitchen. Stop at the Champion market by the ferry or the Super U in Cooks Bay on your way here.
Cons: These units have an odd layout in that the toilet is in a separate room at the opposite side of the unit from the “bathroom. The bathroom off the bedroom is truly that, just a room with the shower and sink. Although it is all nicely and stylishly updated, it makes me wonder what they were thinking. Not a dealbreaker by any means but a real head scratcher!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Well equipped bungalow with kitchen, , making your own breakfast, and dinner, . Very comfortable bed , a big terrace with nice outdoor furniture to relax. Close to beach for swimming and snorkeling.
Cons: None
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beach. Pretty much exactly as described. Nice place.
Cons: Lack of mosquito nets

Pros: Fantastic accommodation and lovely staff! Will highly recommend to friends!!
Cons: Would be fab if they had some beach umbrellas

7.5 Good
Pros: Really lovely little hotel on a paradise island.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location right at the beach and near some shops & restaurant was perfect. My room was clean and nice, air conditioned and had a beautiful view. Service was friendly. The restaurant was located in the waterfront and the food there was good.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic beach front location with good snorkelling. Very comfortable rooms with cooking facilities. Lovely swimming pool and tucked away in a small village with shops, pub and restaurants in walking distance. Much better than a 2 star property. Bus to ferry stops nearby.
Cons: No complaints, all good.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I was able to have a late checkout and the staff graciously helped me coordinate a taxi and a fun lagoon tour.
Cons: The location is a bit remote from the ferry and the airport and transport on this island seems hit or miss. Not really a reflection on this lovely property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Aloha ! The staff, Restaurant, Grounds, bungalows were beautiful and comfortable! The lagoon was excellent for swimming and location.
Cons: There was nothing that we didn’t like !!

Pros: Location great, quieter side of the island...Loved our bike rides to the small local market...Sitting on our front deck enjoying our view incomparable...Snorkeling with the sharks right off the dock/pier...Available kayaks...Wonderful, friendly staff, particularly Roland and Edmee, along with others...
Cons: Nothing to dislike...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, stunning views over the water and up into the mountains. Very clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Can not recommend highly enough!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff! Clean grounds and bungalow , equipped with kitchenette. Free use of kayaks and bicycles. The snorkeling off the pier was a super bonus and even better than many other locations around the island!
Cons: A car is required to get to the banks or larger grocery stores. Fortunately we had planned for this and rented one before we checked in so had the freedom to access the entire island on our own. Store hours vary daily so you might find they are closed in the middle of the day. Research hours before departing, especially if on bicycle!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Super stay, comfy bungalow with ocean view
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The lodge was perfect; we never used the a/c, just the overhead fan, slept with windows open, with only the odd insect. We treated ourselves to a few delicious and generous breakfasts, taken on our veranda; best mornings I may ever have. Just to spoil ourselves further Elodie made a gorgeous three course meal and we ate on the big tables by the sea, listening to the fish splashing, watching the sunset, beautiful memories. Doreen and her helpful staff were always at hand if we needed advice or help, and suggested a few trips that we gladly took up. The resort is so peaceful; we used the free bikes to get our supplies, our pizzas or ride up to Pineapple beach. The Jetty is a feature, either for slow walks looking into the crystal waters at pretty fish, rays and those mesmerising sharks, or one of the best entry points for top snorkeling. We also used the kayaks. Loved this place to bits, it was clean and quiet and very beautiful. Elodie keeps a wonderful garden and harvests the fresh fruit for her meals, even left us a big papaya one morning. I miss the sound of the booming surf crashing in the distance.
Cons: Nothing could have been better, maybe the weather, it rained one morning 8-)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance to restaurants & shops was nice. Air conditioner was terrific. Transportation to and from airport was wonderful, even though it had to be at unusual hours.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely, low key property with a welcoming staff and an ambiance that forces you to relax. If fancy resorts are not your thing, this is a well-priced alternative. We enjoyed breakfast on our front porch each morning, but you can also bring your own food if you prefer to do it yourself. Staff will arrange dinner reservations for you and most restaurants provide free transportation. The sharks come out at around 5pm and provide the early evening entertainment. Overall, a very relaxing and genuine welcome to French Polynesia!
Cons: Would love it beach towels had been provided because I don’t travel with one.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole place was very clean and tidy. The setting was exceptional and the staff were really friendly and always happy to help . Meals were good and we made use of the bikes and kyacks which were all free to use whenever we wanted.
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like

6.3 Good
Pros: Bungalow at waterfront is nice. Comfortable bed and patio with semi-comfortable chairs. Fridge and ventilator in room. The food at the restaurant (3x dinner) was very decent, especially the seafood, and served with a smile. There is a small pier and picnic table to jump into the water, a sandy patch between corals, so possible to swim
Cons: The reception and interaction with reception personnel was ok, but certainly not overly friendly, interested or welcoming. The “reception” area has rather strange opening hours. When we arrived around 17 PM, we had to enter via a unmarked gate. The main entrance was closed with shutters. At 8 PM the common areas shut down, putting it in pitch-black. There’s also no background music to make eating at the restaurant a bit more lively while eating.
7.9 Good
Pros: staff were super helpful, beautiful location free breakfast and free kayaks, food in restaurants as great
Cons: No facilities to cook, bathrooms a little rundown
7.0 Good
Pros: I liked the big bungalow I was staying in , it was very nice and clean , very comfortable bed , I liked the quietness of the place , it was very relaxing atmosphere, they had a kayaks for guests use free of charge , it was really nice !
Cons: I didn’t like that they didn’t have enough staff , there was only one lady doing all the jobs , cooking and cleaning , so often you couldn’t find anyone to help you , there was a restaurant that worked schedule , if you want to eat at different times you have to go somewhere else , and there was nothing around , but the biggest negative for me was that they don’t have an electric kettle in the bungalows , so every time i wanted to make coffee or tea I had to wait for their restaurant to be open and “order” a hot water , 1$ for a small cup , for my coffee mag I needed almost 2 of their cups , so I had to buy 2 small cups of hot water every time to make myself a coffee or tea , it costed me 2$ each time , but it’s not even about money for me, it not that expensive, it about discomfort of the whole thing , paying fir a beautiful bungalow and not having access to hot water to make a tea Is just weird , so that made things complicated and unpleasant ! Little thing that ruins your relaxing time , because you need to wait for the restaurant to open to buy a hot water to make a tea !
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Just my roommates and the location in front of the beach
Cons: The people who works there are so unpleasant, is so offensive to see and heard people speaking to you angry in a different language just because you needed wifi at 3 pm and doesn’t work, I knocked the door and next day I was treated like a vandal, if you spend money in the hostal you will have a good welcome, I don’t recommend the place, I had a good time there just because I was lucky and I meet amazing people (costumers), and I woke up one day with a cockroach in my hands toilets are smelly (old pee).
1.0 Poor
Cons: Solo travel, booked my first night only in one of the cheapest and water front hostel, ( this facility has a 12 bed dormitory). Location is fantastic, unfortunately the owner should not do this as a job. Rude, really rude, calling you before you finish your dinner for pay the dinner bill, was only 8pm. Wanted to pay by card and he pointed my cash in my wallet and pretend me to pay with cash. I explained nicely that isn’t really nice to act like this, he didn’t care, i was thinking to stay longer but no thanks. Plus this isn’t a real backpacker, quite and no people around ( probably for the attitude of him as the place is fantastic) not even a kitchen to use. No shop around so you are like forced to eat in this restaurant. Never wrote a review but please trust me, go somewhere alse, better hostel, real hostel around with definitely a better owner, he doesn’t deserve your money and neither the beautiful place he got. You can feel this around you. People like this shouldn’t work in hospitality especially manage something like this, really a shame.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our beach front room was large with a comfortable bed and a terrace right on the sea. Shower was good, no air con and a lovely fan. Clean and friendly staff. Very relaxing and good value for money. Close to one of Moorea’s best beaches. Good breakfast and evening meal also available.
Cons: The swimming is a bit rocky (pretty normal for Moorea) but there is a great beach close by
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I have lived at this hostel for 5 weeks. Here's what I love... 1. You can go kayaking for free. (Please watch out for the coral reefs) 2. You can snorkel outside your door. 3. The beds are quite comfortable and the room is comfortable (at night). 4. I think the staff are wonderful. (They don't really bend the rules much though) 5. The restaurant has delicious food (Some items not always available) 6. Free breakfast included...bread and jam, fruits, avocados, juice and coffee, tea or chocolate. 7. The price is the best on the island. It's the same as Camping Nelson but here we have breakfast and a roof in case of the rain (deluge) and shelter from the heat. 8. There are also cute bungalows available. 9. It's a beautiful place! 10. You can catch a bus right in front of the hostel. 11. Free Wifi. I liked my little semi private section of my dorm room. I liked hanging out on the bungalow over the water. Basically, it's been a great place to live for awhile and I will miss it a lot. Moorea is a stunningly beautiful island! I hope you enjoy your stay!
Cons: I would have liked to have a kitchen to cook but all works out.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Location and nice room if you upgrade.
Cons: Prices kept changing. They did not honor the price negotiated with the front desk by phone
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the friendly staff, the old Tahitian music playing in the background, the good food, snorkeling off the beach. It felt more familial than corporate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous location! Be sure to eat breakfast in the over-water restaurant!
6.0 Good
Pros: Liked the location as it was easy to get where you wanted to go as well as park your car.
Cons: Hotel was older and rooms in need of updating. We had a room that slept 4 with a very small bathroom and shower. The air conditioning was not good and you could not run it while you were out as all electric was controlled by your key. When you returned and turned it on it took hours to cool the room down. That was my biggest complaint as it was extremely hot and humid. The restaurant was good though the breakfast was a little funky....$10 for coffee and roll, $15 if you added fruit and $20 if you added an egg...….I would say that anything you wanted ie: help with reservation, tour etc. cost you extra...they charged an extra $5 each for use of a beach towel...and required a $20 deposit per towel.....I would stay again but bring my own towel ….
7.0 Good
Pros: Sofia from the front desk was not only helpful but also super sweet
Cons: Pier could be set up differently for a better use of the space
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming atmosphere of Moorea, central location
Cons: Slow service at dinner - 1.5 hrs to get entree.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very nice staff. Nice huts in a well maintained garden.
Cons: Internet was not always working well. The roosters woke us up early in the morning.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location. It was my husbands birthday and the hotel gave us an up grade to a lagoon front bungalow which was beautiful. We could lay in bed and look at the water. Staff were all friendly and the restaurant food was good and fairly well priced given this is an expensive place.
Cons: No tea making facilities in the room so no morning cuppa which we really missed, other than that all good
5.0 Okay
Pros: The fact that it had a somewhat secluded beach and we could hire kayaks, snorkelling gear etc.
Cons: A number of things were either not working or very disappointing. 1. The wifi just did not work on all our phones; it either did not connect or worked extremely slowly. 2. In any hotel there is an expectation that some additional blankets are provided for those who are sensitive. There was nothing provided. 3. The bathroom mirrors were not cleaned. The shower had NO pressure whatsoever and we spent ages to have a bath. There was a window in the bathroom but could not be opened due to no latch, hence become very suffocating within 2 minutes. 4. What really made us worry about the level of hygiene was having to use towels that had been cut up with scissors. Very very disappointing. 5. No coffee, tea etc provided in the room. They recommend not to have tap water but kept no bottled water in the fridge - not even at an additional cost, this is the least you could expect. Just feel like the hotel was not worth the amount of money we paid and it is high time that the hotel is refurbished asap.

Pros: Very cozy, comfortable and spacious lodge in a natural and very nice landscape. The cabins were all made of wood with a very original design. It is worth a try!!!!! Mark and the staff were very attentive to us. You can hire bikes and kayaks
Cons: 20 minutes by bike from the nearest beach. In the nearby market there were very few goods. To get some best market you have to ride 20 minutes by bike. (and the road it is not well illuminated)
6.7 Good
Pros: -Every single bungalow is made by Mark and they are all original and nice. -Mark is very helpful and will give you a lot of information about places of interest if you ask. -The garden is fantastic and each bungalow has a small table outside. - Mark and his son have good snorkeling masks to rent. -The bungalows has a fully equipped kitchen and a good shower. -It's easy to find and you have discounts for the ferry and car rental.
Cons: For the price that you pay, and Moorea is expensive compared to other parts of the world, the bungalows are nice, nothing bad. It's not super new but everything is cosy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mark is so hospitable, warm and accommodating. He personally picked me up from the last ferry from Tahiti and then took me to a grocery store to buy groceries and food. He's passionate about ensuring his guests are fully taken care of and have the best experience. The houses are very well kept up, and they are so cheap given what you get. Bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms and the villa has a living room with an indoor/outdoor area. Bugs were not a problem (I visited in winter) but they were when I was in Tahiti. I surfed Teahupoo before coming to Mark's Place. However, Hapiti is a GREAT wave to surf. You take one of Mark's canoe's out and tie it up to a buoy and you have a perfect left with friendly locals and a deeper reef. It's a left that can barrel when it get's big. I met so many awesome travelers at Marks place. I traveled alone but would be awesome to go back with a significant other. Expect a calm relaxing getaway with great people and great hospitality. Thanks Mark!!!
1.0 Poor
Pros: Beautiful garden with beautiful bungalow
Cons: We were verbally assaulted and physically threaten. Upon arrival, I was informed by the receptionist that the bungalow I had booked for my friend and I , was occupied, and that the only option left was a studio but that I would probably not like it. We decided to have a look and as she predicted we did not like it. Poor standard, sketchy apartment No mosquito screen, infested of mosquito Extremely hot, the ceiling was very low and one bed was right underneath Not very clean, very old and dirty appliance I told her that I was not satisfied at all and wanted to speak to the owner. She called him and handed me the phone. The owner started right off the bat to be rude and very unpleasant, and was not understanding my disappointment. I explained to him calmly that I booked a bungalow with a certain standard and that the studio was far from being that. The owner insisted that really it was no big deal and that I was getting a better one (bigger place) and then he started to criticize and insult french people and told me that I should go back to France I told him that I did not understand why he was saying all this and he replied I don't understand why you're not happy so I told him the place sucks, and then the owner completely lost it, he insulted me and said that he will beat me badly. When he arrived, he almost hit me, verbally attacked us with racist and homophobic insults and then again physically threaten us and asked us to leave. After 45 MIN I managed to calm him down and decided to stay (no other option around and very late) . The day after he passed by and did not even say hello nor apologize. Very unpleasant experience and unfortunately this is not the first time someone reports physical threat and verbal aggression.

Pros: marks place is a paradise of a special kind in the midst of fantastic nature. Mark, a very helpful, kind and obliging friendly American, fulfills all wishes. He books the tours, makes recommendations and arranges everything. You can clearly feel that he wants to give the guests an unforgettable holiday. every house on the property looks different and all are wonderful. mark has lovingly translated every last detail. There is electricity, light, terraces, windows and so on in every corner. Mark built everything himself with much love. I have traveled a lot, but marks place is one of the nicest places to stay as the whole package of accommodation, nice people, beautiful nature is absolutely fantastic. I would like to mention that everything is absolutely clean, which I have not experienced anywhere on the island. I recommend marks place more than 100%
Cons: Really nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff were incredible friendly, kind and helpful! They went out of their way to ensure we had the best experience. Having free use of the bikes gave us some freedom to travel around. The grounds were very peaceful.
Cons: The mosquito nets on the windows had holes in them.
7.1 Good
Pros: Original
Cons: Bathroom entrance was outside of the room. Property is in the nature so be prepared for mosquitos and other insects. Old linen and towels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely property Mark wonderful host facilities great just looking up at the layers of green mountains and trees amazing. When I found out my place did not have washing machine Mark offered laundry service for a small fee. Wish I was there right now!
Cons: Little lizard joined me in bed but another bed available in same room so we peacefully coexisted. My scream may have scared people in the next little house. Perhaps the legendary lizard of Moorea blessing me with his presence.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: The facility was nice.
Cons: The place was just stunning. In its location but after witnessing Mark the owner commit a horrible act of animal cruelty I would never recommend anyome to got there.. He is fake and not nice to animals.. I saw him hit his dogs. And then saw him throw a tinny kitten.. Alive, into the forest in the poring rain to die.i was so disgusted I could a lost my mind.. If you like animals, do not go to this place.
7.1 Good
Pros: A very nice sleeping bungalow.
Cons: We didn't like the bathroom in our bungalow being seperate from the sleeping bungalow.

Pros: Amazing value for money
Cons: No Complaints
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large, clean one bedroom with very good cooking facilities, beach across the street, private garden with deck for relaxing and eating your meals outside, and with a small grocery store next door.
Cons: Two small points: 1) soap was not provided in the bathroom, and 2) the water was not drinkable and while a bottle of water was provided upon our arrival, we stayed 5 nights and were expected to buy the rest of what we needed at the store.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location: beach is 1 minute walk... Mini market is 1 minute walk too. Owners are the best. Good ppl.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner is very helpful and kindness. The location is great for Snorkeling.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful - safe, quiet, clean - great owners - good communication - close to general shop - owner washed our rental car when a big bird pooped on it and didn’t say anything - we only realised until we were handing back the car at the rental company. We left in a hurry because we messed up our ferry times and felt guilty because we didn’t finish washing up. We hope we will still be welcome back because we loved everything.
Cons: Forgot to take photos to post here and encourage more people to stay.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were very kind and friendly, and the room was perfect. It was across the road from the beach, so water access was very good. The mattress was very comfortable. The rental car was also very good.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely cabin, spacious and everything you need. Very friendly host which offers us free snorkling sets and canoe. The ‘private’ beach is close by, just cross the street. The corals are amazing! Even even the weather is not that sunny. Store next door with, very early, fresh Bread and lovely babanabread. Also many other foods.
Cons: We liked almost everything but after a few nights the bed was a bit too soft for us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming owners. Good quiet location, but you need a car to move around. Small beach just across the street. You have your own small house with everything you need.
Cons: The bed was a bit too hard and pillows should be replaced as these where really old already.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This accommodation was great! Located steps away from a beautiful beach with amazing snorkeling. The bungalow is very clean and comfortable (it gets very hot and humid in Moorea, but that's not something that can be helped). The bungalow is in a garden, so there are a fair number of geckos scurrying around, but they're harmless and won't bother you (plus they eat mosquitos!). The bungalow's porch is perfect for eating breakfast on, too! Overall, this place was very easy to find, a good value, clean and conveniently located. Would highly recommend!
Cons: No complaints.

Pros: Unbeatable location, good value restaurant.
Cons: Roosters and chooks, I even saw staff feeding them despite requests for guests not to feed them. They kept us up quite a few nights. They don't just crow at sunrise, it's all night. Ok for staff, I guess they go home!

Pros: Beach house on private beach.
Cons: You must rent a car.You can't get food without one. Nowhere to walk. Horribly hot even though it's spring.
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Very best place to relax and snorkel in lagoonarium, 80 m away from the property
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was terrific! Friendly, professional and helpful.
Cons: The bungalo could have more comfortable seating.
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Air conditionning will add big value to The accomodationt
9.2 Excellent
Pros: - beach front near a reef that is a nice spot for snorkeling (we saw a big turtle) - provide kayaks - very nice garden and each bungalow feels private - very well equipped (washing machine, cooking tools, fridge, etc.) - staff is very nice (they prepared a fruit plate for our arrival, and a new flower was nicely put on our table every morning) - eating outside the bungalow on the wood-deck facing Tahiti island feels great
Cons: - extremely noisy in the morning: just next to the main road and the bungalow has "opened windows" (we woke up at 6 am every day) - small bathroom ; toilet faces the shower and there is no curtain, so everything is covered by water after use - there is only one bike - everything is quite far from the location (supermarket, bank, rental car, etc.)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Most beautiful location right by the beach, free kayaks and paddle boards, very friendly staff
6.0 Good
Pros: The service at the unit was excellent. The view was spectacular. The accommodation was good. The bonus of the tricycle to get to the supermarket was much appreciated. The swimming and snorkelling was great but you had to be careful of the tides. The kayaks were great.
Cons: The traffic noise was annoying at times. Too many barking dogs in the area.
7.1 Good
Pros: Being away from the main stream hotels and being able to cater for ourselves. The ability to take a kayak out into the lagoon.
Cons: The very tight and winding stairs to the bedroom and the fact that the bathroom was down stairs. We were in the 2 bed property which backed on to the main road which is used day and night, Without any ability to shut windows (there were none) the noise tended to wake you. The other properties which were bungalows crowed out the view and access to the beach. One actually looked directly into where we were staying offering no privacy.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great access to the water. Bikes and cañíes available for use. Nice little kitchen. Comfortable bed. Clean! Shop nearby! Good wifi!
Cons: Mosquitos were a problem. Although the bed had a net there were no screens for windows or door. Bathroom and bedroom layout a little odd although nicely decorated. Open shower in the second bedroom would make it difficult for anyone except a family with young children. It is very expensive for what it is, but a nice spot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming, romantic little bungalow, very cozy for one person in my case or would be perfect for two also. Extremely clean and the grounds are meticulously groomed. The whole property is lovely and has water access from a.pretty, grassy little beach. I didn't have a water view but it was only steps away if I wanted to sit by the water. Never missed it because I loved the privacy of my bungalow surrounded by a lush tropical garden.
Cons: Absolutely nothing! There was some road noise as my place was closest to the road but it didn't bother me in the least. With bedroom air conditioning on and windows closed you wouldn't notice it, but I preferred to sleep island-style with a fresh breeze blowing through.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about Poerani Moorea was fantastic. We loved the grounds and especially the view. The apartment was very comfortable. It was fine for our family of four. The air conditioners in the bedrooms worked well so it was comfortable to sleep.
Cons: More coffee would be nice
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Impossibly beautiful Moorea. Poerani Moorea is a beautiful place to stay on the island. Eric the property manager was always available and helpful. The accomadations were clean and provided everything one might need. It was like staying at a glamping resort private with a beautiful beach and incredible ocean access.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We loved Poerani! Beautiful and convenient location, well fitted out bungalows on lush grounds with easy access to a great swimming spot, with sun loungers and free kayaks. Franck and Emeline could not have been better hosts. Emeline organised scooter hire and transfers for us and was so helpful and friendly. Maharepa is a short walk away and has great options for meals and a supermarket and bank.
Cons: Nothing!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very pretty grounds, nice amount of space in the cottage we were in, extremely friendly and responsive staff,
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Free use of bikes, kayaks and snorkeling equipment. Host was excellent and very helpful.
Cons: Everything was great.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A very private and beautiful little beach, the sounds of the breakers way out on the reef, the birdsong, the flowering garden. Very friendly and accommodating host, although staff is not resident on the property. Easily accessible by email or text.
Cons: The beach recliner chairs could use replacing and the addition of cushions.

Cons: None

Pros: Beach. Pretty much exactly as described. Nice place.
Cons: Lack of mosquito nets

Pros: Fantastic accommodation and lovely staff! Will highly recommend to friends!!
Cons: Would be fab if they had some beach umbrellas

7.0 Good
Pros: the Pool ,
Cons: the unit was to far away

6.7 Good
Pros: The swimming pool area is beautiful
