Cons: My husband found the bed too hard, but staff padded w/ blankets which helped. Fitness room a bit sparse, but busy sightseeing so not a big deal. My husband requested a view table in restaurant for a glass of wine for us and was denied because the manager said it was reserved for diners...no one showed up the entire time we were there drinking wine! ☹️

Cons: Beds were too soft especially at the edge of the bed. I believe there was a mattress pad to make the bed softer but the pad used was too big for the mattress which made the bed very awkward to get up from. Hotel was located at the top of a steep hill so there was a rigorous walk from our parked car to our hotel. No parking available close to the hotel.

Cons: I was only given late checkout until 1230, wanted until 2 pm but was informed hotel is fully booked but i could see three rooms of my type were available for booking for same day, no free transfers to airport, staff at breakfast were not very professional like other staff, pictures at booking. com were totally different then then room i got and i was informed rooms were renovated and booking. com had old pictures, anyway room was nice so i had no problems

Pros: The staff were excellent- friendly and helpful. We had the suite with the private outdoor jacuzzi and it was a wonderful treat, even in November. It really soothed my problem knee, which needed it due to all the steps in Santorini! The room was well organized and a lot of thought had gone into the design. We fell in love with the house cats! The location was perfect. We will definitely return one day!

Pros: We stayed at the suite with the private pool, which was a fairly large room for 2 adults and 2 children. The mattress and the pillows were very comfortable, if you like them soft. The breakfast was rich with many cooked choices. The location is great, because it is in walking distance from the main village Thyra, but far enough to avoid traffic and be able to park.

The location of the hotel is great (even though it is close to Fira, it was quite calm in the neighbourhood), the breakfast is extensively delicous, the facilities & rooms were clean & the staff was super friendly. A special shout-out to the 2 girls at the reception: super friendly and always ready to help you out with a big smile!

You can order your drinks and relax with an AMAZING sunset from the hotel. The view from the room is also breathtaking, so we were very thankful by the opportunity to enjoy this hotel.

Cons: Bathroom water was backing up. Mold smell in the room. No coffee, or tea in the room. The room floor is always cold and moist. Bed sheets were smelling. No proper comforter. We did not complain, reason we stayed only 2 nights.

1) The staff: Never saw anyone at the hotel who WASN'T smiling. They went above and beyond to provide relevant and useful advice, arrange any excursions, and improve the stay.
2) The facilities: The common areas were beautiful, the room was spacious and comfortable.
3) The convenient location: The hotel is located across from a couple shops (including a grocery store) and just down the street from the nightlife and tourist attractions- without being so close that you have to hear the bass of the clubs all night (unless you are into that!)

Pros: Hard to beat for the price point. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant.
Highlights:
1) The staff: Never saw anyone at the hotel who WASN'T smiling. They went above and beyond to provide relevant and useful advice, arrange any excursions, and improve the stay.
2) The facilities: The common areas were beautiful, the room was spacious and comfortable.
3) The convenient location: The hotel is located across from a couple shops (including a grocery store) and just down the street from the nightlife and tourist attractions- without being so close that you have to hear the bass of the clubs all night (unless you are into that!)
Cons: Santorini is renowned for its panoramic views of the beach- this location does not provide that. Also, the rooms are not sound proof so if you are a light sleeper it could be an issue.

Pros: Lovely room, immaculately clean throughout, good hot tub and pool, although the pool was too chilly for comfort. The staff were extraordinary--helpful, friendly, caring, informative, efficient. The breakfast was excellent with many choices that were kept refreshed. The breakfast room and serving areas were spotless and beautifully maintained. The location was good for our needs but did not have one of the stunning views available at so many Santorini hotels. The room's balcony was lovely, overlooked the pool and bar, and had a charming table and chairs.
Cons: The bathroom was small with a tiny shower area that had no way to prevent water from spraying all over the room--no shower curtain or water barrier. The hotel appears to be built of cast concrete, which is lovely and works well, except that the bathroom was too small and had the pre-formed shower area. Also, the room had no good storage--no hooks for hanging clothes, minimal places to hang towels, no useful bathroom counter space, no drawers. The closet was certainly adequate but limited with surface spaces.

Pros: Common areas and pool are immaculate and serene. Staff were very hospitable and friendly. Location in Fira is great & stones throw to all the action. Staff were very accommodating and allowed as to move to a different room.
Cons: Suites are small but that is to be expected in Santorini. No views of the caldera, but I knew that when I booked so can’t complain!

Cons: The showers could been closed(having actually a door fitted and not an open one where you splash the sink , the toilet and the water gets almost into the lounge. Also the bath products (as they are included in the booking price) could be more generous and not just in there for design).

It is a 7 minute walk into Fira, so really very close but sufficiently far enough to be in a tranquil area. Breakfast was great, the bar made fantastic drinks, staff were very friendly but super Proffesional. The room was lovely- we had a garden view close to the pool for 2 adults 1 child. I was very spacious and clean.

Cons: The property was great, my only gripe was when trying to find it. The hotel sign is discreet, so we drove past and had to turn around. It’s not a big gripe at all because on entering the lobby we were greeted with lovely staff, a hot towel and an amazing glass of cherry juice.

Pros: Central location: It is close to the bus depo and town centre but very quiet (at least in our room during our stay). Convenience: There is a supermarket across the street from the hotel, it is really important to have bottled water in large quantity all the time in Santorini, because the tap water is not recommended for drinking. Size of the room: Our room is large enough even by North American standards. Breakfast room: It is large and bright by the swimming pool. You can also sit under the embrellas of the pool.

Cons: The room was cleaned even though we left the do not disturb signs out. One morning we returned to the room after breakfast, and the towels were gone, which was a bit odd. There is a slight smell in the wardrobe, but we didnt use it so it didnt affect us. Near the main road, which may bother light sleepers. The view was of a car park.

The location in Firostefani with loads of restaurants at your doorstep and only a 10 minute walk into the much busier and touristy Fira. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was basic but was fine for us. This is not a 5 star property, but compared to other properties on the cliff. I think the price was quite reasonable.

Pros: The view from the roof top terrace is absolutely stunning!!! The location in Firostefani with loads of restaurants at your doorstep and only a 10 minute walk into the much busier and touristy Fira. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was basic but was fine for us. This is not a 5 star property, but compared to other properties on the cliff. I think the price was quite reasonable.
Cons: No tea, coffee, milk or drinking water provided in rooms, but no big deal we just bought some from the supermarket.

Pros: We were a nice walk away from the centre of the town, so we got to experience fantastic views. We had a sunrise view from the other side of the island, not the caldera side. But as soon as you walk out the door the spectacular view from the Caldera side was right there. Breakfast was great in the cafe.
Cons: The room was clean but a bit tired looking. The kitchenette was very basic but that was fine as we were only there overnight.

Pros: Great location. People come to this particular hotel to watch the sunset due to its excellent location. The staff are warm & the ground floor apartment is perfect. The hotel also offers laundry & transfers at an added cost which is a good value add.
Cons: The breakfast service was a little strange; the staff didn’t seem to happy about serving guests; perhaps there is a personal dispute between Vallas Apartments and Vallas Cafe which we weren’t aware of however it seemed like they weren’t accommodating for breakfast even though it was included in the price

Pros: Beautiful historic hotel. Our room was comfortable, and we had our own balcony where we could eat breakfast while admiring the beautiful vista. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We were greeted with rosewater cool towels, as well as a refreshing drink. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a lovely bottle of wine were offered to us to enjoy at our convenience. The dinner we had there was excellent, everything was made in house, fresh, and incorporating local ingredients, and in my opinion comparable to any other 5 star restaurant. Location is great too, just a quick 5 minute walk to city center.

Cons: This is not a criticism because we knew what we were looking for as an accommodation - this is not a place to stay if you want to sunbathe next to the pool since the pool is tiny and there are no sunbeds. We didn't want that but I thought I should mention it. The only criticism is that the air conditioning didn't work very well so it got quite hot at night.

Cons: The swimming pool was tiny and by the side of the bar. There was no space for relaxing or sunbathing next to the pool, so it was really unusable. There was a one-person jacuzzi, next to tables and chairs, which made the place cluttered. The rooms varied, so that some superior rooms had a shared balcony and stand-up half shower (shower head at waist height) and others had private balcony with full bathroom. If a private balcony is important, then guests would need to stipulate this in advance. The dinner menu was expensive e.g. up to 30 euros for a main course. There were many feral cats around, which were fed by the hotel. There were cats and cat smells in the balcony and breakfast area, which we found unpleasant and unhygienic.

Cons: The bed was very hard (I am used to pillow top mattress) and the shower was a very small bathtub with a shower head that you had to hold to take a shower. The lighting could have been better inside the bathroom and throughout the room. These were minor concerns as overall I still give this hotel an A+ because of the service and location.

Cons: For a 5 star hotel, we found the linens/towels to be sub par, the bathroom was not in particularly good condition (the sink did not drain), and there was no hot water. While there is a small pool available, what you do not realize is that it is in the lobby area/dining room with no lounge chairs available, making it awkward if not impossible to utilize.

Cons: We stayed here for our honeymoon and upon checking in, we were told that our booking was for 3 nights when in fact we booked for 4 nights. We were then offered a refreshment at the bar while we waited and waited for our room to be ready. A staff member then informed us that the toilet in the room we were staying in was not working, and that we would be put up in a different hotel for the night. Coincidence? Next day, we waited 45 minutes for the transfer to La Maltese in the scorching heat and then complained to the staff there about our experience thus far. This included lack of sleep in the hotel that they put us in (the ac wasn't working well and the temperature in the room remained high). Frustratingly, nothing was done. We were sent to 'our room' with the 'fixed toilet'. An hour or so later as we were trying to get some rest, the ac in the room was making loud and abrupt noises. We complained again and the manager put us in another room (an apartment which was delightful, however did not have a semi private pool as the original room) while the ac was being fixed. Day 3, back in our room and the ac is fixed. Great! The Nespresso machine however isn't working so staff replace it with the neighbors machine. We jump in the semi private pool with our newly arrived neighbours only to find that they are yellow (and their bathers, towels etc) from the dirtiness in the pool. Disgusting! We had seen that it was yellow along the inside concrete of the pool but thought nothing of it. Luckily we weren't in there for long! I also realise that I had left my white dress on the bed from the night before and couldn't go get it. I was assured that they would follow up. Cutting the extremely long story short, the manager was going to reimburse us for our first night stay and despite sending 3 emails, we have NOT heard a response. The dress that I was informed would be followed up with and shipped over to me at the next destination....

The whole complex is well designed. There was a buffet breakfast, although it wasn't so rich in choices (was every day the same), but you could eat as much as you want. Swimming pool is good sized with bar services available. The centre of Thira town is 10 minutes by walk up to hill which was wonderful due to the fact that this place of stay is very quiet and the city centre is nearby. We warmly recommend this hotel.

Cons: We booked one night last minute as we were stranded after a ferry strike. However, we were more than disappointed with our rooms. Very dated, smelled of damp, right next to the road and stairs with no chair or mirror in the bedrooms and minute bathrooms with maintenance issues. The hotel is a fair walk into Fira centre. In my opinion, the place needs a serious refurbishment to make it a more attractive place to stay.

Cons: We were half board, so had dinner included. Found the dinner experience unusual. No information provided as to what the set menu was each night and often we were not welcomed into the dining area. Sometimes the staff saw us but closed the door and did not greet us. Resulting in us standing around for up to 5/10 minutes. There was also massive confusion regarding the fact we were half board and getting dinner the first night became a very stressful experience. There was an issue with lots ants in the sitting room and toilet, for one evening but they did not appear again. The pool was not heated, so this also was not ideal, as the water was cold.

Cons: I believe 4 stars is overrated and downgrading to 3 stars would avoid guests being disappointed upon arrival and complain abt the simple breakfast. Some of the rooms need a bit of upgrade, have old fashioned furniture and the outside areas’ woodworks could use some new painting. If you are a bit sporty, you will not mind abt walking some 10 min to Thira’s centre.

Pros: the owner of the hotel is a very nice person, very helpfull and caring. the staff is also very good. the hotel is good, like a home far from home. the place is calm. whenever i will go to santorini again, i am sure i will go back here. The services are 24 hrs, never had even a single problem.

Pros: It’s located near the bus station, and every bus goes from and to this station, it have a lot of restaurants near and is a three minute walk to a beautiful sunset spot. Room was perfectly clean.

Pros: I love this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. And The staff was very kind. Even I didn't asked him to pick me up, he came to the port to pick me up on time. The location was also perfect. It was center of the Fira so I could easily go anywhere in Fira and it was not so far from the bus station. Moreover, the price was reasonable!!!

Pros: We can see the beautiful sunrise just in our house. It is a great place for honeymoon. The location is just in the center of the city and close to the local bus station

Pros: Right in the middle of the action in Santorini. You will need to walk from the taxi rank (if you come from the airport) to the hotel with your luggage as the area is only for pedestrians. Staff are nice. Room is basic, but I had the room on the end on the top floor (lots of stairs!) and there was a view but don't expect a view of the caldera. Had a small fridge, which was welcome.

Cons: The hottub was not working and even though the reception person said it was not working from just two days that was not the case .. he said he is trying to fix it however we never seen anyone trying to fix it ... seems like it was not working from so many months.. the reception person was not even ready to switch the rooms or refund the delta amount for with hottub and without hottub price.

Cons: Wrote to them about hotel transfer from Airport to hotel but no reply. Have to fork out Euro10 for a 1 way Airport transfer. However, transfer from Hotel to airport was provided.

Cons: Being in the centre of Santorini, there is the non-stop doof doof music from about 9pm to at least 5am. Ear plugs did not drown out the noise for me, so I had lots of interrupted 'sleep'. Make sure you are at the night club (so that you can sleep during the day) or stay somewhere else if you want somewhere quiet. No English language TV channels, really.
