10.0 Excellent
Pros: Andrea, the owner, was super friendly, the place was cute and quiet and Artur, the dog, is one of the cutest things ever, my kids loved him. Shame we couldn’t stay longer.
Cons: There was no AC but considering the location I think we were unlucky with the weather since there was a heat wave across all Western Europe, it might not be necessary plus there was a powerful fan installed before our arrival.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room, lovely breakfast.
Cons: Could have been better sign posted.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The building was amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Would like to have had air conditioning but didn’t check before I booked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Thank you so much Andre and Alessia for taking such good care of our family. It was a special trip, especially for my 81 year old mother, and your warm and friendly attention made all the family feel at home. And the design of the hotel is beautiful. And breakfast was great! Thank you so much also for all the explanations on the history. Everything was above and beyond expectations!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had one perfect night at Ostello Del Castillo. The room and hostel is spacious, beautiful and clean. The location makes you feel like a local rather than a tourist. Andrea gives excellent recommendations on local restaurants and offers information on the history of the area. He is the perfect host. The rear garden offers the most amazing view over the whole village. It is a truly beautiful spot. Highly recommend!
Cons: Nil
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Cozy and renovated with care of the buildings history. Good breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located in the old part of town, very quiet and in the middle of a residential area with small houses around. The room was very cute, decorated with taste, definitely fitting into the Alps theme. The facilities in the room and bathroom all worked well. The breakfast was really good. They offered also a plate of local charcuterie and cheese in addition to everything, so I had an absolutely fantastic breakfast! Also some local products like local yogurt and a honey water. The owners were very nice and their english was excellent (they speak other languages too). If I ever go back to Tirano (and I hope that day will come), I won't think twice about staying there again.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful breakfast, very friendly owners, lovely atmosphere.
Cons: Air conditioning would have been nice.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Sandro was an amazing host. Huge clean rooms. Serviced daily. Delicious breakfast. Would stay again.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Interesting accommodation (this building was in earlier times used for monastery purposes). Very kind host, willing to help. He will instruct / inform you whatever you are interested in (regardless if this is related to visiting tourist POI, shopping or history facts). You can contact him whenever needed thru phone if any help is required. Relaxed and cosy atmosphere – every evening you can smell the cake baked by hosts for the next breakfast. Rooms are clean and tidy, very well equipped (microwave oven and dishwasher in the apartments). There is even a spacious library, with lots of guide material (hiking, skiing, etc.) and info on surrounding area, but also a books of more “serious” nature. If you want to drink a tea during reading in the library – no problem, tea machine and all “ingredients” are there! If you want to feel a little bit of earlier times in a remote, calm small Italian village/town, where the only “noise” is bird singing in apple trees and very discrete bell sound from church tower, this is the right place for you!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The host was really friendly, he helped us with maps and information about the local sights and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious and focused on local things. The apartment has a small garden with beautiful view for the mountains.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I booked an appartment with bathroom and kitchen, which is very spacious and clean, equipped with all the facilities you need for vacation. Staffs are very friendly and they prepared a cot bed for our 5-month-old. Very nice experience staying with Seicento, highly recommended!
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic place in a magnificent old 16th-century building, completely modernized with all modern amenities. Good place to stay for a few quiet days, big room (library) to sit, read or to play some family games. Very friendly hosts who take excellent care of the house and the guests, very thoughtful on sustainability and "soft tourism". All ingredients of the rich breakfast buffet are sourced from local and regional farmers. Family apartments (with kitchen, microwave oben and fridge) and dorm-style rooms for travellers on a budget. Very nice.
Cons: 5km outside from Tirano, not so easy to reach by walking (but no problem by car, taxi or moto...) No reasonable restaurant in the village itself -- need to go into Tirano for some good places to eat.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: this place was very clean and nice and thoughtfully decorated! lovely place. Staff was very kind and nice. The day we left we asked for a taxi because of a bike race that same day so the taxi may not arrive on time and they offered us a ride if the taxi does not arrive on time. eventually the taxi came but anyhow they were helpful and caring. The place was an old stone building and was authentic, we liked it. There was a library with free tea options. This was a personal plus for me.
Cons: The location is out of the Tirano and bus connections are not great and google also doesnot know about it. If you have your car it is fine but we were travelling with train and needed a taxi ride on both ways. Sernio is a sweet town but does not have much dining options. there is a pizza place nearby the hotel and that is it. If you are travelling with you vehicle this is a very good option.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sandro and his wife are beautiful and helpful peoples! Super comunications, servis, room nice and clean, nice locality and very good food. All was fantastic! We will glad arrive again. Thank you Sandro.
9.6 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The country style place was a small piece of mountain paradise. Cinzia provided an excellent country and modern like feel in her establishment. It was one of the best places that my husband and I have stayed in Italy. The comfort of home away from home. Appreciated her hospitality and great attention to all the details. It is a precious gem in the Tirano mountain valley :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Need a car to access, but that's the very reason why it was such a gem of a place, tucked away among apple orchards and vinyards! Would recommend bringing ingredients to prepare your own dinner there. Very hospitable hosts and good range and quality of breakfast items, our family of 4 adults had a very comfortable 1 night's stay.
Cons: NIL
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place in the outskirts of the city, close to vineyards, totally pretty, The owner was particularly nice and we had a good time there, would definitely go back. Nice if you travel by car,
Cons: We liked everything, but it can be tricky to enter the property by car (small street and narrow entrance). No real issues all in all.

Pros: Everything! Fantastic hotel with masses of character. Built in 1600, and very tastefully converted to bijou rooms, maintaining a wonderful sense of ambience. Truly a gem. Staff excellent and food even more excellent. I was blown away by my stay there and will definitely return.
Cons: Nothing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building with nice and quiet terrace. Very friendly staff/owners. Delicious fresh breakfast. Very clean, all looks new. Quiet little village, a short bike or car ride from center/station of Tirano.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: For us, it was a perfect stop off after coming through the Bernina Pass from St Moritz, heading to Lake Como. A lovely setting in northern Italy that offered lots of charm. The hotel was a typically authentic, rustic building with their own restaurant enclosed in a small courtyard. The food was great and we were well looked after at breakfast too. The rooms were basic, but excellent value for money as the attention to detail was great and the rooms had a lovely decor. I would recommend to anyone who is doing a road trip similar to ours. Car parking on site as part of the price.
Cons: There is no Air Conditioning. The room had big open windows so nice and airy, we also had a desk fan too.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: all
Cons: No TV in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very old world style yet we had all the modern conveniences. It was really an awesome place. So much better than an ordinary hotel and worth the 10 minute taxi ride to get here. It was off the beaten path and we loved it because it was so quiet and beautiful and quaint. The uniqueness of the property and everything else was a great feeling for our trip to set the pace to relax and enjoy life in Italy. Not touristy at all. We loved the authentic atmosphere of this inn. And breakfast was outstanding. Also dinner in the restaurant was very good, great chef!
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our stay at Contrada Beltramelli very much. The structure is unique, and we appreciate all the modern touches and comforts, while staying in a place that still retained its historical charm. The fruit, water, tea and cookies in the room were a welcome treat. Breakfast was generous and varied. Armando made us feel welcome. We hope to return and eat lunch or dinner in the courtyard.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Amazing take on an old traditional building and lovely breakfast in the splendid courtyard of that old house.
Cons: No TV and unfortunately a bit off the beaten track if not with own vehicle.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere of the hotel is very special, you feel that you're in the past, but still modern. The breakfast was delicious, mainly by local products. The staff is helpful. The location was good for us, near to the main road.
Cons: The bed was a little bit short and the ceiling was low for my husband, but this is the style...
B&B Casa Mia - Tirano - Building

9.0 Excellent
Pros: I really loved the hospitality of the owners who welcomed me and my son and were very interested to have a pleasant stay. Although I missed the breakfast as we had to leave very early the day we checked out, Michela assured me that next time she will prepare me a "super breakfast" which I understand is one of a big reasons for staying at B&B :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful breakfast--our hosts went out of their way to cook my husband's breakfast according to his dietary needs, also providing me with my organic fruit! Gracious Grazia gave us the grand tour of the whole place. An old-fashioned Grandma's house feel and very accommodating. We hope to return soon.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house where we were welcomed by really warm and friendly host and hostes. And there daughter, who served the breakfast, was also friendly. Fast check-in. Good room. Good bed. Good breakfast. Yes, it was all really really good.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a very homey, warm and loving environment. The owners are exceptional people who go out of their way to make sure their customers are well taken care of. Their hospitality goes beyond anything I have experienced in my travels. I highly recommend this place and will certainly return in the summer to hike in the local surrounding.
Cons: My only suggestion would be for them to put a shower curtain in the family room bathroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful. The owner took us to the train station and helped us find a parking in a near by street and then dropped us in the station with his car. Very helpful and friendly owners.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The decor and soft furnishings were a treat. They looked very traditional. The bed was extremely comfortable. Three generations of the same family made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was very good.
Cons: Nothing

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great Location, air conditioning and we had some good views. Lots of light in the room. Breakfast was very good.
Cons: Bed was a bit hard and the hallway noise was loud.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Centrale is much more luxurious than the price suggests. One of the few hotels in which the pictures actually match reality. The staff was also super friendly and I appreciated that they asked for permission on whether they could send follow-up emails. While we didn't have time to try it out, the hotel also offered some spa treatments and massages, which is always a bonus.
Cons: There was really nothing not to like. If anything, then perhaps its that the hotel is not as centrally located as the name suggests, but Tirano is a small place and the center and railway station are still within walking distance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our rooms were super lovely.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Front desk lady/owner very nice and helpful, good breakfast. Great location, walking distance from the train station. Close to good restaurants serving regional/local food.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in a very good, quiet location in the old town. Breakfast was excellent. The cleanliness was to the highest standard. Staff very nice and helpful.
Cons: The hotel would have been a perfection if not for the too hard bed, specially for a lower weight person. A bed toper would have been welcome.

Relais Villa Brioschi - Aprica - Building
8
8.5 Excellent (248 reviews)
C$ 105+
Overview Reviews
Set in the Sondrio Pass, this Art Nouveau house offers unique rooms with flat-screen satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. Aprica town centre is next door and parking is free. Dating back to the 1900s, Relais Villa Brioschi was a favourite retreat of Nobel Prize winner Camillo Golgi. The property retains original features such as fireplaces and characteristic tiled floors. All elegant rooms come with a minibar and private bathroom. Some rooms offer a wooden balcony and a hot tub. Breakfast at the Brioschi is buffet style, and is served in the dining room with its hand-painted ceiling and views of the surrounding mountains. In the winter, ski storage is provided. The Baradello slopes are just 50 metres away. Buses to Tresenda Train Station leave from Aprica centre, a 10-minute walk away. Lake Como is 70 km away, and Milan can be reached in under 3 hours by car.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Ski in / ski out. Quirky and rustic old (but warm) building. Quiet. Handy for restaurants, bars, supermarkets of Aprica - a couple of minutes walk. Good parking on premises. We were able to check in very early.
Cons: Since ski lifts open early, breakfast could perhaps start a little earlier say 7.45.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Coffee was excellent
Cons: more fresh fruit and a toaster. tea making facilities in room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful and friendly. Convenient parking. Beautiful building. Breakfast good. Aperitivi good - and bottles of good local beer available. Nice historic feel to hotel. Room good, cosy and romantic. Location perfect for Baradello skilift - 2 mins walk.
Cons: Overall great stay, but I reckon if they just improved some very very minor details it could go from being a great hotel to an absolutely tip top experience. Maybe change plastic key fobs to something more elegant to fit with style of hotel. Maybe don't have 3 different remote controls for tv, can they be replaced by a single remote? Hydromassage function didn't work on shower. Maybe have glasses rather than platic cups in room. Just very small details, but when the place is so good overall these small details stand out.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice location and interesting villa. One of the best buildings where we stayed, but not very modern room.
Cons: Not one of the best option for breakfast. The room was old (Matilda room) and the door from bathroom doesnt close.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were excellent and the hotel was full of character and charm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All was Very nice!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location next to slopes, nice staff. Simple but tasty breakfast

Pros: Good breakfast and location
Cons: Summer in Italy needs air conditioning
7.9 Good
Pros: This hotel is convenient to catch the Bernina Express and the train from Milan. It has a restaurant inside and garden restaurant outside. I enjoyed the duck breast with apples for dinner. Breakfast was okay with typical European fare of pastries, breads, meats, some cereal. Room was adequate for our one night stay.
Cons: The menu advertised eggs and bacon with was not actually offered and the breakfast attendant acted as if we were crazy when we asked about it.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Being a family we were in an apratment style room. We stayed here as a more affordable option to Switzerland. As we stayed one night we didn't really stay long enough to see anything.
Cons: Street noise and breakfast was a little thin.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved staying here so convenient for the train station and a great dining experience at lunchtime on the terrace. Buffet breakfast was excellent to prepare for the next leg of our journey.
7.9 Good
Pros: The buffet breakfast is generous and varied. The location is excellent, right opposite the train station.
Cons: Parking facilities could be improved: free parking lots should be available for guests for loading and unloading luggage. Our family room didn't have air conditioning (just a portable fan) and it was a bit too hot with 4 people in, unless we slept with the window open.

Pros: Great rooms, appeared to be recently refurbished and very nice indeed for a reasonable price. Rooms were on the small side and it required a bit of juggling to deal with make up etc in a small bathroom and minimal space to put things, but we were very pleased with the standard and would happily stay here again. Very friendly lady on reception. Breakfast excellent quality. Great location. Air conditioning good.

Cons: Tiny bathroom, bed was too big for the room, nowhere to put luggage. Could not get English Channel on the television. Noisy because of traffic.

Cons: Room style - Seems to be back to the 70’
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I fell in love with Tirano as soon as I got off the Bernina Express. The whole town felt warm and welcoming. The hotel was more than I expected. The room was small but I wasn’t expecting chanderliers and it was beautiful clean. That is very important to me. The breakfast was very nice. The staff were very friendly. I think you are very lucky to live in such a beautiful place.
Cons: What is there not to like in Tirano?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were wonderful, friendly and very helpful. Location was fantastic. We were able to leave our bags there after check out and pick them up later in the day.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This property is perfectly located in the center of Tirano, next to the river, close to the train station and close to the local sites and activities. The staff are very nice and helpful. The shampoo smelled terrific. The breakfast is more continental, but good.
Cons: Do not expect a fancy, American hotel experience. This hotel is very clean, simple and affordable. We will definitely go back.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Main building rooms are good, and top floor has great view. Location is reasonably close to railway station
Cons: The booking I made originally - the annexe - was in a completely inaccessible place. There was no service, no internal phone, no nearby restaurants or sites. On top of that the rooms were on 3rd floor, with no lift. And finally, there was not even a hot water kettle in the room, not could they provide one when asked for. Eventually I had to take an extra room in the main building.
