The hostel is a three minute (or less) walk to Asakusa station, so the location is very good if you're planning on checking out that area. It was nice to be able to see the gates at night on the way back to the hostel from the train station. Also, the price is great. It's very affordable. And the hostel provides towels and soap/shampoo, which is very convenient. Side note: there's only one elevator, and they don't want you to use the emergency stairs. I never had to wait too long for the elevator, so that was nice.
The staff weren't very welcoming. Maybe this is common in Tokyo, but in other places in Japan, they at least smile and don't make it seem like you are a nuisance for being there. Also, the upper part of the wall of the bunk bed was a little rough and had a sticker stuck to it. Overall, the sleeping area and the utilities felt a little rundown. And you can hear everything. It was a little annoying to have other guests talking at normal volume around 11 pm. There are maybe 20 or so bunk beds in one large room, so it's really luck of the draw as to how polite the other travelers are.
Very good hostel! Very good location! I recommend to visit it)
The rooftop view and the location were superb. Excellent place for our first visit to Tokyo.
Very clean and comfortable stay..in fact we dint face a problem even with the typhoon hagibis hitting tokyo.. kudos to the property and the staff.
The common area is a little small as compared to a lot of other hostels I have stayed at..
