Easy access to The University Of Arizona Campus and surrounding restaurants and bars.
The property is currently being renovated and there is construction of other buildings all around. Trying to sleep in with all the noise is impossible. Hotel Bar and Restaurant are being renovated and the setup they have temporarily is not conducive to having a nice meal or cocktail at the bar. I would have appreciated being told about this upfront. I am sure after the construction of nearby buildings and the renovation of the hotel are complete, things will improve.
Overpriced for being in a hotel undergoing noisy renovations inside and outside. No wet bar in suite. Only 1 sink in bathroom. No airvent in bathroom causing condensation on mirrors. Overall mediocre for Suite standards
Lots of construction due to remodel. did not know about that.
The location is perfect for anyone who has business at Uof A or parents visiting their kids on Campus.
I booked almost a year in advance and was never informed of the remodeling that would be taking place upon my stay. I walked into a very loud environment in the lobby. A lot of the area was taped up with plastic and there appeared to be no restaurant. Upon my check in I asked if I was to park in the corner UofA parking garage because it was parent's weekend and their was very little parking. I was informed that I could park there for $15 a night or Valet for $20 a night. I chose the self park at $15 per night. During my stay, I was informed by my son and the fact that the cross arms on the garage were up from Friday to Sunday upon my check out. When I noticed the $15 charge from Marriott on my bill I mentioned it and they stated there was still a charge even if the cross arm was up. Which is not right. Upon check in I was not old anything about the restaurant or bar being temporarily moved and when asked about vending machines I was told that they were taken out during the remodel. On Thursday, my room was extremely loud with remodel noise. I understand the remodel as the rooms were clean but did appear worn. I believe the hotel room was not worth the $341 a night that I was charged during the remodel. When I mentioned all the above upon checkout I was just simply told that I had the lowest rate the desk clerk had seen. I believe they took advantage of the parents as this was Family Weekend at UofA.
