The hotel has an awesome classic look. The rooms are nice. The location is pretty perfect for downtown Tucson.
Parking? A shared lot with the Amtrak station could be a cool addition. Otherwise, there is ample parking a few blocks away in the neighborhoods. not really a complaint, just the only "bad" thing
The location and the historic ambience
The way they preserved the original feel of the hotel
The location was great. Very convenient to the bus stop and Udall Foundation. Very upfront about the noise level of the hotel, but I was there from Monday - Wednesday night and it was very quiet.
There were some renovations going on but nothing major.
Vintage features, ambiance, comfy bed, friendly staff.on site Cafe, bar.
Funky, laid back, historical with eclectic patrons and friendly staff in the hotel, cafe, bar and club. PLEASE don't come here if your first choice was a chain hotel. Pretty please don't book a room if you are the person who's going to post pictures of a chip of paint missing from a 100 year old door hinge. But if it's a hip vibe, a yummy meal, and a super comfy bed you crave, this is the place. Within two blocks of a dozen great bars and restaurants with very knowledgeable desk staff 24/7. The vintage touches like rotary phone, switchboard, radios (no TV) in room are priceless. Good wifi; on site radio station in lobby. As for the much touted noise factor? If you're from a big city, you won't even notice. If not, the earplugs in your medicine cabinet will do the trick. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
