7.0 Good
Pros: Everything was great with the exception of the pull out couch in our suite. We were three and I slept on the couch. It has seen better days and was uncomfortable.
Cons: The couch for sleeping
10.0 Excellent
Pros: it's got great cooking and laundry facilities...pull out couch...fully loaded kitchen... comfy bed...and very clean
Cons: Would be a plus if each room had it's own hot tub and if the hotel had it's own bar on site
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel stay was very good, property was nice and clean and reception was very helpful.
Cons: The restaurant attached to the hotel had a very poor steak dinner for 46$, I have had better beef from a hotdog stand
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Didn't try any of the spa facilities so I can't comment. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but the one located just behind was excellent!
Cons: A great shame that there is no breakfast available at the hotel. We had to leave early and none of the cafes in he area open before 8am, so we had to go without.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, spacious, well-provisioned kitchen, great coffee in lobby, quiet, nice view of river.
Cons: Despite air conditioning the room tended to remain on the warm side. A ceiling fan would have been helpful.

Pros: Everything was great. Well thought out. Enjoyed the coffee maker in the room but there was also coffee in the lobby and at 3 p.m. fresh baked cookies. A nice touch.
Cons: It was all good. No issues.

Pros: Best Spa on the Island hands down. The Hydropath is a must. The staff is amazing, always making sure everything is clean and organized and so friendly. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the Aqua Bistro has great food and a good drinks selection. Absolutely love this place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The spa and the view from my room and the garden with the fire pits were awesome.
Cons: It is all seafood related food I do not like seafood and did not have much to pick from. When to town for dinner. I rather have stay and eaten at the restaurant
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love sitting out in the courtyard with the fire pits burning and music in the background. Loved the hydrotherapy tour. The elevator is an absolute treat to avoid stairs.
4.8 Okay
Pros: Ocean Front View
Cons: Booked a room on the main floor due to mobility issues when we arrived our room was on the 2nd flr. We were offer the only room on the main floor that was available it was the last one yet to be renovated and updated. WTF??? Why would we take that?? The upstairs room must have been updated years ago! If we liked we could also upgrade to a king room as they were in a section of the resort that had an elevator but that would cost an extra 80.00 a night from what were paying. We took the room on the second floor and did the stairs. We felt we were being punished with the leftover, last on the list dumpy room because we used an online service to book. Most uncomfortable beds we have ever had at any place we have ever stayed. Not sure how old the mattresses were but I haven't seen ones like that for many many years, my parents owned a resort 30 some years ago and they looked very familiar even the handles were falling off. When we inquired at the front desk the next morning about what could be done with the terrible mattress we were told that a lot of people like a harder mattress and they offered to put on a foam topper, as well move us to a main flr room. We returned from a day out our suitcases had been moved to a new room but they never put the topper on the same ugly worn out hard mattresses, Mgmt said that they didn't have anything for the queen rooms only for the king beds and there was really nothing they could do except maybe put a few comforters down as a topper??? Needless to say we did not stay the second night and checked out instead of suffering through another sleepless night. Basically the facility had beautiful grounds well cared for but the rest of the place minus the lobby was dumpy and run down .
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We arrived and left by kayak so our experience was far from typical. The resort went out of their way to be helpful by saying we could store our large, double kayak in their garage but that was just not practical. Getting our boat from the shore to the property was a challenge and in the end we left our boat in some bushes. The resort itself was lovely. Very comfortable and very luxurious. Unfortunately, we had relatively little time at the resort so didn't get a chance to appreciate all the amenities. After paddling for 7 hours, we weren't keen to use the fitness room and so on. Resting was on the top of our list. We could have organized a massage, but that was beyond us. Enjoying a delicious dinner helped revive us. We wish we had had more time to appreciate all Kingfisher had to offer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The outdoor seating areas were superb with individual fireplaces as was the landscaping throughout
Cons: The resort is looking a little tired and dated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was sensational (Avocado, fruit eggs, toast) Supper too was terrific
Cons: Wifi kept disconcerting Coffee maker was clumsy and difficult to opperate
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very lovely facilities. The grounds are gorgeous and very peaceful. The spa is awesome and we enjoyed the pool and steam sauna. Quiet facility and slept with our patio door open to hear the ocean waves.
Cons: Need to keep the fire tables going until 11 pm. Shutting them off at 10:30 is too early.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, spa, restaurant and updates were all wonderful
Cons: My partner was fairly sore from the super soft bed and pillows and they didn't have firmer pillows available. Next time we will remember to bring our own.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We ate at the resort the whole time, all the food was delicious, the seafood chowder and the pancakes were unreal. The only thing at the restaurant I didn't like was the hot chocolate, it tasted like steamed milk and it was disappointing. We woke up in the morning and enjoyed the relaxing music while sipping our espresso from the Nespresso machine on our balcony and at night we relaxed by the fire pits in our robes while we listened to live music. I loved the spa music that played during out stay. Overall we had an amazing time and will definitely be back. It was the perfect choice for a relaxing honeymoon and the restaurant can't be beat.
Cons: The sheets on the bed were amazing although the bed was almost too soft that I woke up with lower back pain both mornings, i'm only 27 and that's abnormal for me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Relaxed atmosphere. We napped every afternoon. It was a veritable Shangri-la for a couple who needed a good rest. The atmosphere was calm and the room and gardens were beautiful.
5.1 Okay
Pros: Service and attitude of staff was excellent. Breakfast was delicious and the evening desert and cocktails in the Bistro Bar overlooking the water was superb. Hot tub and pool was welcome and relaxing after a busy day hiking in Strathcona Park, The Wave - Relaxation Massage was first class and the perfect way to end our vacation.
Cons: The room. It was very poorly appointed and with the queen bed against the wall, it was impossible to get in-out of on one side. But mostly the view. or lack thereof.. On a previous visit, what I liked best was the view, overlooking the bay towards Comox. This time we were abutting the parking lot with a tiny peak of water when looking out the porch glass door. A disappointment after traveling 5K miles to be locked into an uncomfortable space with no view, Part of the problem is that when booking via a third party, seems like the customer is put at the "back of the bus". Lesson .... book directly?

Pros: Great hosts! Excellent food, comfy bed, a warm and welcoming home!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The B&B was in a quiet neighborhood that backs onto a green space. Breakfasts were amazing, our host was inviting and gracious and the room was comfortable. We had a room that faced into the back yard with our own private entrance directly to the room and we were welcomed daily by deer, birds and other creatures directly outside our window.
Cons: It's a bit of a walk to the waterfront and restaurants so we ended up driving each day. Not really a bad thing...just something to be aware of.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warmth of Nancy and Lloyd, pleasant company of the other guests, French toast like no other (exceptional breakfasts). The themed guest room (Oasis) was like stepping into the desert tent of royalty...mahogany canopy bed, tapestry, belly dancer mannequin (!)....opening onto private patio with a doe and two fauns for company. Attention to every detail was amazing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was delicious! We enjoyed the wild life, baby deer, racoons and many different birds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nancy’s Ginger Giraffe was one of our favourite places that we stayed in on our two-week road trip. We had a large, tastefully decorated, very comfortable space to ourselves, with a garden patio which we used both evenings. Nancy and Lloyd were engaging hosts and served up a delicious breakfast.
Cons: It was all good. Be aware that Nancy has two rooms for rent, so you may not have all the private space that we had.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is just a fantastic nice place And a outstanding breakfast
Cons: Everything is perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed in the Safari room - the room was well appointed and immaculately clean. The bed was firm and extremely comfortable. The guest rec area was also very nice and I liked the 24/7 access to good coffee and cold water. The patio was also lovely and I came face to face with a very curious (and hungry) deer. Nancy gave me options for breakfast time and both mornings she offered fresh fruit and muffins and a delicious meal. My first experience with coddled eggs - delicious! Nancy provided great company over breakfast and I felt very much at home at her property!

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location with views to the sea, Great breakfast.
Cons: Dogs in the kitchen when food was being prepared.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely B/B in a beautiful location. It’s been a while since we’ve stayed in traditional B&B and it is really wonderful to have that experience again and to interact with the owners who were really wonderful. The food was great and the location was beautiful overlooking the water with bald eagles right on the beach. They have two lovely large dogs who are very friendly. Our room was comfy and had a en suite bathroom.
Cons: Signage to the place was a bit difficult even with our GPS! I would not recommend trying to find it in the dark. I would have liked some nicer amenities, including some hair conditioner. You will need to drive to town for dinner, there aren’t any restaurants within walking distance, but the drive didn’t take too long.

Pros: Closeness to all amenities
Cons: Price of golf & power cart
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The views and the golf were amazing.
Cons: Upon check out I had asked for a late check out as I was golfing in the morning. I was told that 12 noon was complimentary check out. I said ok. I went to the front desk to try and get an extra 15 min after my golf and the lady was very rude telling me that I was already late checking out and my room card was deleted. When I told her I had asked for late check out she said it wasn’t documented. I then told her my wife was still in the room and she said, well I can’t exactly kick you out. She made me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Because someone had not entered the late check out she made me feel that was my fault. It was an unfortunate ending to a otherwise amazing stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed at Crown Isle several times and will be back. We love the luxurious feel of the accommodations and the food in the bar is very good. We really enjoy playing the golf course. It is one of the main reasons we come to Courtenay.

5.0 Okay
Pros: It’s nice having a pool on the property and it’s a very relaxed chill vibe.

Pros: Property was very clean including the pool and deck areas. The rooms have been recently renovated and are very clean and well stocked with full sizzle frida, microwave and coffee pot.
Cons: Beds weren’t the most comfortable I’ve come across.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was clean and quite large very comfy. Beds and pillows are super, way more comfortable than the bed I had at the Hilton. Good location check out Milano coffee roasters down the street fabulous coffee.
Cons: Towels were a little threadbare and honestly that was the only complaint I had.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Didn’t really like anything
Cons: Motorcycle parking poor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice bed and pillows with comfortable sheets. I was happy overall with my experience. Also a good location as well close to Comox, Courtney and Cumberland.
Cons: Room 303 was below is below a hallway. Unfortunately the hall above creaked. This was mildly annoying but no worse than other motels I have stayed at.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful Reception and management, Breakfast room and staff Cozy a definite Fawlty Towers feel. Bed (firm) and location walking distance on main road. In room Decaffinated ground coffee pouches on request just another service they were only to willing to provide.
Cons: Speed bumps in parking lot but thats a personal preference. There were no noises of cars racing through which is their purpose.
4.3 Okay
Pros: 2 of the front desk ladies were helpful ( trying to sort out a very poor experience ) and the outdoor pool , was clean and a good temperature .
Cons: I did not like that when I got there I was lied to about what rooms the had? ( and not the room I requested at all ) , so they tried to cover it up by saying they didn't have rooms like I requested , ) but rather they gave me what was the closet thing ( total lie we have stayed before and they ended up moving us to the exact room I Requested , or course charging more/ and delaying us from going out because we had to move rooms ) There was mold In our room , and my brother in Law came a few days later , and paid $30.00 a night less for the same room they originally tried to stick us in ,completed dissatisfied and will not be returning .

5.8 Okay
Pros: nothing
Cons: The bathroom dr had cracky sound, no shower cap i brought my own one but was taken away and no new one provide. overall dont feel like it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Value for money and location and clean.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was great! I read great things about The Hen and The Hog cafe that's open for breakfast and early lunch, but we didn't have time to eat there during our stay. The room had a clean, king size bed. The bathroom was nothing fancy. All in all, it's a basic room which is exactly what I was looking for.
Cons: There's no air conditioning in the room. This wasn't a problem for us since we don't have AC at home, but it might be an issue for others. There were two pedestal fans in the room though. Also if you need a hair dryer, pack your own. There wasn't one in our room, plus the plug in the bathroom didn't work. We stayed over a long weekend and left on the Tuesday after the holiday Monday, and our room wasn't made up during Monday. That's not really a big deal, we would have just untucked the blankets and slept without them anyway (hot summer night, no AC, just like at home).
6.8 Good
Pros: Breakfast at the hog & hen.
Cons: The Hog & Hen was closed on Monday and Tuesday. The shower went very hot then cold. Unable to adjust quickly. Could some sort of pressure equalizer be added to prevent this? It was most frustrating and could be dangerous!!!
7.5 Good
Pros: Very nice staff, good price, great location
Cons: 1st room was not very good. 2nd room a week later was very nice. No air conditioning.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, nice location, ok price.
Cons: First stay was crappy room. Second stay a week later different floor, was way better. Wish we had it the 1st time.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Yes, this is an old place but clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. The right choice for a night.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Kitchen, table and chairs, windows with screens, fans and flooring!
Cons: Only two sets of towels provided for four guests.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is great; within walking distance of most points of interest. Indoor pool perfect size; nice hot tub. Good value for the cost. Staff helpful & friendly! Laundry room most appreciated
Cons: Reserved a kitchenette (sink, stove & refrigerator). Room had only microwave & mini-fridge.
6.3 Good
Pros: No air. Which they did tell us Very uncomfortably linen like sleeping with an old rain slicker

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast home made omelettes!
Cons: Rooms a little small
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: We requested a ground floor room due to our disabilities to which we received an email confirmation stating that yes they could do this. When we arrived we were told there were no ground floor rooms available and that we would have no choice but to take a second floor room. Then there was no parking due to all the moving and work trucks, we had to park at the opposite end of our hotel room which was extremely inconvenient. When we finally got to the room we continued to have trouble with the room keys, the wifi and there was no soap of any kind supplied to the room. Overall it was a frustrating experience. I wouldn't reccomend to anyone with a disability or anyone who wants the basics such as soap in their room.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: No quiet time posted....a very large and rowdy crowd drinking and smoking outside their unit with their kids running fill tilt and screaming loose until 1a.m on property and along the 2nd floor walkway .... not pleasant at all. I would be guarded to stay here again.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The front desk staff were very friendly, as was the lady in the breakfast room who made great customized eggs and omelettes!
Cons: The room had a musty smell, old decor and was very small. A towel in the bathroom was dirty and looked like it hadn't been washed. The pool didn't open until 9:15am, which is very late for small children. The breakfast was decent, but I wish they were able to convert to dishes and real cutlery, as they are currently using non-sustainable dishes and cutlery (plastic and paper), which is not necessary.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The beds were comfortable and it was quiet.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, clean room, good location.
Cons: The breakfast room was too small considering the number of customers.
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was clean and quiet, as we were away from the highway. Staff was polite, and efficient.
Cons: The internet did not work at all.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Bathrooms smelt. should wash the shower curtains The painters could use training(trying to paint the outside)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I was looking for something affordable which is what we got. The hot breakfast in the morning was quite good, staff was friendly. Rooms were as would be expected for a 2-star hotel and were kept clean with a small fridge. Beds were clean and comfortable.
Cons: There was nothing that I didn't particularly like, hotel was what I was expecting and breakfast exceeded expectations I would say. Had a good stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The pool was lovely on a hot sunny summer afternoon.
Cons: They were painting the motel which made a few things difficult.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything

7.5 Good
Pros: This motel is a bit down at heel, but very clean. The location is very convenient, a few blocks from grocery store and other amenities, close to restaurant options. I liked the flowering plants!
Cons: This is a very low-cost place to stay, and that shows in the amenities. I don't like paper cups for coffee, and would have liked to see recycling options.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean but small for a tall person. The staff was very nice and helpful.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Extremely clean. Getting on to the property was a little difficult. Had to gain access from the back street and it wasn't marked. However our stay was excellent. Top value for the money!
Cons: Should be a sign on the lower street to parking lot. Had to guess the entrance for the motel. Easy access from South to north but difficult north to south.
6.8 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Dated
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location. The comfortable bed.
Cons: Nice pots and even a pan in the little kitchenette, but strangely no burners to put them on?! So we had to revise our dinner plans to make use of the microwave instead.
7.5 Good
Pros: bed was comfortable, place was clean, the staff did go out of their way so I could check in early
Cons: the bathroom fan sounds like a jet plane taking off, could not enjoy my bath, bring extra coffee with you. they only give you one packet of coffee
