Ideally situated on Lido Island, a stones throw from the boat, which take you to other parts of Venice, including Piazza San Marco. The staff was excellent - very professional, polite and answered every question; the breakfast was delicious!! We loved the setting - beautiful with gardens, by the water, with a terrace for an evening glass of wine or spritz. We would return to Hotel Villa Mabapa!!!

The hotel looked very nice, cosy with nice garden etc. It was a pleasure when entering the hotel.
The staff seems to be grumpy sometimes.

Clean and very big rooms.
No restaurant, no free tea/coffee which should be standard in this category, parking slots for free but ferry with 100 EUR for car with 4 people very expensive, water taxi to Venice casts 6 EUR per person one way and beach usage 13 EUR. No pool and/or fitness facilities. Location is in the middle of the island and no view to water as claimed. Summary: ridiculous expensive for offered value.

Our final night here and the dinner was the best of our whole holiday. Bedrooms good but pillows hard. Location to ferry excellent but hotel should warn guests with cars that queues for early ferry can be llong. Recommend buying return ticket when boarding in Venice so separate short queue for pre-bookers.

The hotel was in a great location with fantastic views across the lagoon. The terrace garden was really nice, the breakfast good and the room was spacious and well equipped.

“It was a great place to relax! Would recommend it to everyone. Perfect location if you want to relax, enjoy good food, the beach and visit Venice.”
“Some information that I missed when I looked through other reviews: The hotel is really ideally located just by the ferry boat (for car). But keep in mind that even though the sea is 50 m away, you can't swim there. To swim it is necessary to go to the beach (the free one), which is about 940 m according to Apple watch (actually it is from hotel door to the see level, the beach itself is about 300m deep, so to the beach it is 650m). In the free beach there is cafe and possibility to rent umbrellas (first come first serve) and take a shower. Nearby is also the commercial beach, it can be booked from the hotel. In 1 km (or 3 bus stops) there is the "public transport" boats that deliver you to Venice within 15 min (St.Marco square). In less than 300 m there is good supermarket, which is very convenient (actually on the half way to the beach). I was lucky to have a room with a balcony - the room was quite, facing the garden. Really recommend. It is generally very good that the hotel is little bit away from the road (unlike the majority of other hotels I have seen), so it is quite. The staff is very friendly and I'd recommend to listen to the recommendations they give.”
