Chambres d'Hôtes La Maison de Léonie - Collias - Building
1
9.6 Excellent (139 reviews)
C$ 146+
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful peaceful place to stay. Hosts welcoming and friendly but not intrusive. Excellent location - a couple of restaurants and small shops in the village; Nimes, Avignon and the Pont du Gard not far away. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean.
Cons: Take insect repellent - we had lots of mosquito bites (not the fault of the property,. obviously!). Our bathroom was quite open plan -worth being aware of if you're travelling with a friend or relative rather than a partner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: lovely B & B near Pont du Gard - quiet small town - host was lovely
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Maison de Leonie is heaven on earth - I only wish we had a few more nights there, since it was one of the best places we have stayed in during our trip. The estate is located in a small village named Collias, which is very close to Uzes, Pont du Gard and many other touristic attractions. The place is very easy to find, and from the moment the gate opens you are surrounded by beauty, nature, water and charm. The house itself is beautiful, very old but has been renovated completely. The yard is beautiful, full of trees, flowers and etc. The host was a very charming French woman, who welcomed us cheerfully. She spoke a little English, and together with my French we were able to communicate. She showed us to our room, which was even prettier than in the pictures. It was huge, nicely decorated, very clean and very indulging. We have decided to have dinner at our host's Table D'hote, and it was a perfect choice. We had a three course meal with wine, and it was very very good. They even offered us 2 glasses of champagne for our honeymoon, which was very thoughtful. It was great to come upstairs afterwards, no need in driving or navigating. In the morning we had a very lovely breakfast, which had pastries, jams, crepes, soft-boiled eggs, cheese and coffee. Everything we needed and more. Our host urged us to go and visit Uzes - which at first wasn't on our itinerary - but was eventually one of the most charming and beautiful villages we have visited. Overall, a fabulous experience, I can't wait to go back already.
Cons: Nothing, this place is just perfect

This lovely home is impeccably decorated as per period details & welcomes you with everything you could possibly need!

Pros: It was a castle, a beautiful noble palace. The host is a great passionate about his treasure. We had a room on 2 floors. Breakfast is like kings and queens. Amazing experience.
Cons: Nothing to say. Only that there are not locks in the room to preserve the original style. So if you sleep no problem you can lock but if you leave your stuff to go out you can't lock the room. It's ok as people in this place are all very nice and trust is all around :)

7.9 Good
Pros: The place has air conditioning, which was amazing with summer temperatures around 35°C. The room with got was comfortable.
Cons: Some rooms are on the first floor and when you have a small baby and plus all the luggage, it is a bit inconvenient. However, the stairs are wide so there is no so complicated.

Pros: We have stayed several times at this hotel. It is clean, rooms are convenient, the owner is very nice and helpful and it it has an excellent price-performance ratio.

Pros: Host was very friendly He did well despite his limited English and our very basic French Provided a very good meal at a very reasonable price
Cons: A bit dull and old fashioned
9.6 Excellent
Pros: If you’re touring and have a car, it’s much more convenient staying in a little village like this than the centre of the larger towns like Nimes or Aix-en-Provence where finding or getting out of the hotel parking can be the longest and most stressful part of the journey. If Pont du Gard is on your itinerary, this is the place to stay!

Pros: Small but functional appartment, quite a big kitchen. Nice veranda, although a bit small.
Cons: No window in the bottom bedroom. Pool a bit dirty.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Easy check in and out, nice pool. Secure.
Cons: Poor wifi, the pool is open only 10-20, so if you arrive in the evening and hope to swim, then it's a disappointment. The stuff does actually not speak English, but body-language works ok.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome. Quick and easy check in/out. Excellent location - walking distance to river Gardon and Pont du Gard.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room a decent size. Quite location but perfect for visit to Pont du Gard and day visit to Avignon. Nice good size pool. Friendly staff.
Cons: Drove past the property on arrival and had to go back. It is to the right side of the winery. Easy once you have found it. :)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice motel, well located for an extended visit to Pont du Gard. Clean, well equipped, lovely and quiet.
Cons: We came by bus, not ideal as stop is moderate walk, and motel drive not good for wheeled suitcases! Also restaurants some way away - nearest at Pont du Gard bus stop was closed in evening, so went to Casa Benelli, nice restaurant, but about a mile on busy road, without pavement some of way. Return bus was very late, and Pont du Gard is really set up for car travellers too. Moral: go by car!

Pros: We used the family room (really 2 rooms) with an extra bed added for the 3rd child. It was very clean, not far from the Pont du Gard, and had a lot of local charm. The people who run it were very relaxed, charming and helpful, and it made for a particularly enjoyable 2-night stay. We ate in the restaurant one evening and thought the food very good. Its small so doesn't feel like an 'industrial' hotel, and we thought it excellent value
Cons: The family room is overlooking the road and, even with the double-glazed windows and shutters shut, there is some road noise - especially when lorries go by. It didn't bother us much, and certainly didn't spoil our stay, but its probably better to know about it in advance

Pros: In the centre of town, near bus stop for Nimes, Pont du Gard & Avignon. Hotel was nice, typical french style with lots of character.
Cons: No canoe hire available as suggested on your web-site.
5.6 Okay
Pros: The room was recently updated.
Cons: The parking garage was too small to properly fit any mid-sized car and involved moving cars to let those parked behind out. The tiny shower!
