The bedding wasn’t top notch. The pillows weren’t fresh enough, under the cases it was evident that they were old/heavily used. The sofa bed didn’t have pillows or a featherbed and the ones that they brought were stained and not covered with a duvet cover. The gentleman who brought that stuff was great. Pros (+) Very pretty interior and rooms. Quiet and clean. Easily accessible to majority of things within walking distance.

Pros (+) I loved my stay at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco. Our room was on a quit floor, spacious with high ceilings, a seating area, and a fully stocked minibar. The hotel is centrally located so easy to walk to nearby restaurants and museums.
Cons (-) The pillows were not fluffy, more flat leaving my neck sore the next morning.

Pros (+) The staff, lobby, bar were very good and comfortable. The resturant was average.
Cons (-) The room was small since the building was converted to a hotel from the post office. I stay with the Kimpton chain all the time. The room was very small for 2 people and 2 21 inch suitcases. However, it was functional. I rete the hotel 3.5 starts.

Pros (+) Beautiful room in historical building within short walk to all major museums, White House, and the Mall. Gold fish provided by the hotel (you have to ask for it) kept us company and made us feel at home. Complimentary bottle of champagne for my birthday was unexpected and wonderfully rounded up absolutely unique experience.

Pros (+) Great location if spending time along the National Mall. It's only a few blocks down. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff very kind and helpful. The in-hotel restaurant Poste is very good as well (get the Lamb Burger!). Overall, my wife and I had a great time there.
Cons (-) Like most hotels ... the pillows. The mattress itself was great, but the pillows were small and squished down to near nothing.
