Waiting staff in desperate need of training
Found the bedroom a little cold and the beds appeared to be two singles together rather than a double and were slightly at different levels.
Excellent food, friendly service and a reminder to the opposition that fair value in a real hostelry counts more than gimmicks.
Excellent location, good food and a reasonable price.
The setting is wonderful, the restaurant and menu very good, traditional pub facilities and bar. Relaxing and enjoyable Staff helpful and friendly
Food, friendliness of staff and location
Central heating a little unpredictable
A lovely place to stay, very relaxing and pleasurable
Ideal position for touring round the moors and easy to reach Whitby especially by train from Danby
Very Clean, staff serving meals and drinks very courteous. Food excellent.
Shower stopped working.
The room and adjoining bathroom were very well decorated, well equipped and spacious - we had 2 extra beds in there to accommodate our children and it didn't feel cramped. Breakfast very good indeed. Lovely views and would very much recommend as centre for walking or touring.
