Pros: Lovely place, nice staff and fab breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house was beautiful brick with ivy and lots of character in a country setting only 10 minutes from Manchester airport, the home-cooked breakfast was excellent (I had scrambled eggs on toast with big juicy mushrooms), the staff was attentive, and the pub nearby was a pleasant place to relax and eat after an evening walk across the river and through the fields.
7.0 Good
Pros: Did not have breakfast. The double bed was a ok not a lot of room too move around the room maybe a smaller chair.
Cons: Sadly when we stayed there was flooding which cut off the power in the early afternoon. Which meant we could not have any hot drinks or a shower plus in the dark as nobody came to our aid until the morning with a small light by which time the power was on the next day in the afternoon.

Pros: We love everything. The hospitality of the owners( Stewart and Jill) was second to none. The room, toilet/shower were clean. There were towels, liquid soap, and shampoo available. The beds and extra pillows( clean, soft and comfy). The lounge is clean, with big LCD TV and comfy couch.Thank you very much for your kind and warm hoapitality. Much appreciated
Cons: We love everything. The owners were very kind, helpful and very warm. The place is magnificent with very nice garden, ample space to park 6 to 7 cars easily. The breskfast were prepared with love. They made sure you are satisfied with what they are offering. The place is more magnificent due to these lovely owners
5.0 Okay
Pros: Owners were very welcoming & breakfast was excellent
Cons: We had a swarm of ants (Flying & crawling) in our room which the owner did try to get rid of with some sort of insecticide spray which triggered a coughing asthma attack with my little boy that we were able to deal with using his own medication. I did inform the owner the following morning that I wasn’t happy as none of us got hardly any sleep because my children were not happy to sleep in a room infested with ants. I felt that the least the owner could’ve done was move us into other rooms especially as it seemed evident in the morning that the guest house was only half full. I was not offered any discount for the ant problem so because of the ants, I will not be returning to this guesthouse.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a beautiful house, the rooms decorated with assortment of books (for avid readers), lovely & spacious space( with a fine touch) & topping it all off with sprinkles of French culture! Pros: I did not have the breakfast therefore cannot comment on this service, the location was good.
Cons: I booked 3 separate rooms for myself and family. Although we were all on the one floor there was one room which was quite a bit away from the other 2 rooms. This was a bit of a disappointment. The room that was separted from the other two rooms was very small and a weird shape. The family in the small room all felt a bit claustrophobic. We were all disappointed that the windows could not be opened in any of our rooms. I know this would be for health and Safety reasons however I think if the windows could be opened slightly to let fresh air in that would have helped.

Pros: The food is amazing. Make sure you get dinner here and breakfast! The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was a good size.
Cons: We were asked at check in if we wanted a paper for the morning, we did but we didn't get it. Although this is a minor thing, the hotel should be on top of this sort of thing. The breakfast was amazing, but there was only one waitress and she was rushed off her feet and kept forgetting things. The check in process was fine but we felt quite rushed. This is not a negative but should be mentioned.. there is no lift, just so people are aware when booking.

Pros: Spacious en-suite room with a view over the valley. Comfortable bed. Central location for my activities.
Cons: A little tight for parking.
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. My case was carried upstairs for me and back down when I left.
Cons: The en-suite was tiny, like a portashower and portaloo combined that I had to step up into. I was on the second floor up a narrow staircase and I think other rooms on that floor didn't have en-suite and there was constant toing and froing throughout the night that kept me awake.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfy and was a minute from the train station.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a wonderful place to stay - we really loved it. The house is in a fantastic location. We could walk to the supermarket and to the main street with an ATM, restaurants, a fish and chip shop, and a cinema. We didn't realise how close the house was to the canal. We were able to walk along the canal for many kilometres in beautiful English countryside and also watched boats coming through the locks. And, my goodness, the breakfast was outstanding! What a treat!

Pros: We have never stayed here before though we have been in the area many times and we are sorry that we had not known about it previously. We liked the whole ambience of the place, the attitude of the staff, the beautiful well maintained garden that we were able to sit out in with an evening drink. The room we were in was very comfortable and spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable plus the Wi-fi worked immediately ,not always the case!! We would highly recommend this hotel because of all these things but also because it was very good value for money. .

7.5 Good
Pros: Pleasant atmosphere. Staff were friendly.
Cons: At times a bit noisey
6.3 Good
Pros: Restaurant was nice, food quality and service.
Cons: Room location (102). Needed to have the blind down as it was on the ground floor outside the kitchens. Had the window open as it was so warm and had to listen to the swearing and blinding as they came and went. Most definitely would not stay on any ground floor rooms looking onto the staff car park and kitchens. Unfortunately there was a wedding party with lots of children running all over the place including the bar area.
6.8 Good
Pros: Location, good parking available
Cons: Room was 'tired' needing updating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were fabulous and any 2 mins from airport without the noise
Cons: Nothing
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The dinner was amazing and the breakfast options were also great. The staff were fantastic start to finish.
Cons: Our room had a very creaky floor and the walls were so thin I got woken up by someone snoring in the room above us. You could here people walk quietly through the halls, let alone if they were speaking to one another.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, fantastic staff. Helped as much as possible with keeping us cool during the heatwave.
Cons: Visited when weather was 35 degrees (celcius) but the rooms aren't air conditioned and so it was unbearably hot. The staff kindly provided a second fan which supplied a bit of relief but no where near enough. I know it very rarely gets that hot in the UK but the windows barely open so the air flow could be improved in the bedrooms at least.
7.5 Good
Pros: Bedroom was really nice, dinner in the restaurant was very very good. We were just staying over the night before an early flight and location for that was excellent.
Cons: Bathroom was a bit dated
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was good for the airport. The check in was very quick and all the staff pleasant. The food in the Tap & Pantry was nice and the beer very drinkable.
Cons: The floor in our room was very noisy when walked on. It was a warm evening and there is no air conditioning, they did provide a fan - so take this in to account when booking in the summer.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Near airport, but was like a country hotel. Also staff very cheerful and couldn’t do enough for you. Food excellent and dinning room absolutely beautiful, actually the whole area, bar, dinning room and reception was very pleasing to the eye.

Pros: Beautiful building and the junior suite was huge with great facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: excellent room and facilities great grounds and staff.

Overview Reviews
This comfortable hotel can be found in Manchester. The property features a total of 45 units. No pets are allowed on the premises.
7.0 Good
Pros: New spa downstairs was lovely, some parts closed as they were not working but the hydrotherapy pool was gorgeous to relax in. One of the gentlemen on reception was very helpful, really chatty and guided us where we needed to get to that evening
Cons: The pool upstairs was overlooked by reception and was very outdated. The rooms were very small and the cafe was very overpriced on cold non alcoholic drinks. Room was overpriced considering breakfast was not included.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great gym facilities and pool. Good sitting area in cafe. Ample parking
Cons: Rooms are too small for couple travelling. Breakfast was poor stocked in the buffet. Wifi experience v poor - didn’t work in our room and had to log in every time.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Just round the corner from where we were meeting friends so great for us. Room very hot but we manged to cool it down with an open window. Friendly staff. Didn't use the gym/pool but they looked amazing.
Cons: Hot room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good
6.8 Good
Pros: The location near to where our son lives.
Cons: The size of the rooms
5.5 Okay
Pros: Staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: We had requested a cot which wasn't there when we got there but they did get us one. King room was so small that cot hardly fitted at all.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely laid back atmosphere throughout the hotel and club with first class staff offering very sincere hospitality.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was conveniently located for Manchester Central Convention Complex and was just a short drive from the motorway. The staff were fantastic, made us feel very welcome and a particular thank you to the members of staff who stood outside in the heavy rain on Sunday, directing traffic around the flooding. We very much appreciated the effort that had been made to situate us as close to the entrance as possible, owing to mobility difficulties. The bedrooms were very clean and nicely decorated, with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits, a wardrobe for luggage, hair dryer, TV and dry cleaning facilities. The accessible wet room was excellent, well-lit, spacious and nicely maintained. The site offers free parking and wifi, and for a free service, the internet connection was more than sufficient to stream from Netflix. Good selection on the menu and the bar staff were very helpful in accommodating for dietary intolerances.
Cons: The rooms are very small compared to similarly priced hotels in the area; even in a king, we had some difficulty in getting a wheelchair in and out, and around the furniture. Air conditioning would have made a significant difference over a very hot weekend. Although the bed was a good size, the mattress was uncomfortably firm. As we didn't get to the hotel until almost 11pm, we were a little disappointed that room service closes at 9:30. No disabled access to the leisure facilities; the leisure club is down a spiral staircase and there is a further flight of stairs to the pool area.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Really easy location to get too, easy parking, staff were very nice letting me check in early and even lent us the fan from reception when it was too hot in the room. Very personable and nice staff, Really good gym, spa area so was perfect for what I needed.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: The staff where so friendly and helpful the hotel was lovely
5.7 Okay
Pros: The location was very convinience for me, good breakfast.
Cons: On my arrival realised that the heater didn't work, after contacting the staff they gave me a mobile oilfilled heater and everything was fine then.
5.7 Okay
Pros: Staff all very helpful and considerate. Breakfast room with nice view
Cons: Room we were allocated was very small and although just acceptable the furnishings etc were basic and not in any way luxurious. I did ask about higher levels of rooms and I gather there are some exec rooms.
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. Very good value for money all round. Very much enjoyed the visit.
7.3 Good
Pros: I liked the idea that it was very busy but the staff went out of their way to be helpful and cheerful at all times.
Cons: For me personally I did find that I did not have time to use the brilliant facilities
5.7 Okay
Pros: Light and airy bar. Staff where very helpful and friendly. Pool and gym good and clean.
Cons: Breakfast: we had to wait for hot food. Then more beans were just poured into the old dried up container rather than a new one! The restock all came out in bits, I think it would have looked better if the kitchen staff had brought it all out fresh together.
3.6 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: Room needs a refurb.
5.2 Okay
Pros: Coffee bar staff were friendly and efficient
Cons: The room was very small and the bathroom was not nice. Hotel was only OK because of the low price.

Cons: No everything was spot on
2.8 Mediocre
Pros: The Leisure Club, only reason booked hotel.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was ideal for us. The continental breakfast was great and the bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The bed was very comfy.
Cons: There was no hot running water in the morning so the shower was quite cold. The room itself was quite dark, even with the light on, which made getting ready more difficult.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely with a wide variety to chose from. The staff were friendly and efficient. The bedroom was clean and tastefully decorated. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Overall, a very nice hotel.
Cons: My only grumble was the bathroom, it had mold on the shower curtain and the grout in the shower was black around the bottom edges. The shower was fine in the evening but we couldn't get any hot water in the morning.
6.8 Good
Cons: Our room top floor didnt sleep very hot kitchen noise traffic cant be helped light coming from under the door .7am onwards sistern filling noises very loud
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location was ideal because of the venue our function was in.
Cons: No lift. Very steep stairs. Breakfast was dismal. Paid for B & B but it was only a continental breakfast included and this was not specified. A cooked breakfast could be paid for separately. Bar Staff extremely slow and inefficient. A bottle of water for the room was an extortionate price and they wouldn’t bring it to your room. No air conditioning or fan in our room.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good location and nice room
Cons: Unbelievably hot due to no air conditioning so did not sleep a wink.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, good sized room convenient location, pleasant staff.
Cons: We could hear noise (TV and then snoring!) from the next room!
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Nice restaurant. As a vegetarian, more healthy offerings would have been good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The resteraunt was very good, with exceptional food and wine, combined with good service in most cases it was a very nice stay and would certainly stay there again.
Cons: The room was a bit small, and the floor creaked, which caused the wardrobe to creak also. A couple of the young male bar staff, were a little cocky on a couple of occasions, first time was when I asked for a glass of house red wine after my dinner; the young lad, just said 'We don't do house wine' so when I questioned, this because it's what I had been requested on two occasions with my dinner, with no problem, he just said, 'I can't help that, we don't do house wine! Personally I found this a bit anti-social. The second occasion was when a friend of mine who I was having a drink with before dinner; my friend ordered a drink at the barn to have a similar issue with one of the young barmen, being a bit rood. To be honest it was a bit too much of a coincidence to me that two different barmen being a bit anti-social/cocky to patrons.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room and breakfast
Cons: Room right on the top floor no lift
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean, bed very comfortable and television was a good size. The continental breakfast was great. Lovely croissants and a very good selection. That was a surprise. The restaurant area was very nice and the staff very friendly. Would recommend to family and friends.

6.8 Good
Pros: lovely staff comfortable stay
Cons: We were not aware breakfast stopped been served at 9.30 ...we arrived down at 10 am and was told sorry no food or tea or coffee ...

Pros: it was good
7.5 Good
Pros: The Staff and the whole experience was fabulous - excellent breakfast - really friendly and have stayed here twice already - great location and will be back soon.
Cons: Nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel location was within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars. Staff were friendly and courteous.
Cons: Room was too small resulting in inadequate hanging and drawer space for clothes. There was no information pack in room or even in reception. No information available at all regarding places of interest to visit or activities available in the surrounding area. As there was no tourist information office in the town we would have expected the hotel might have provided some information. Breakfast was served in a conservatory with a glass apex in the ceiling. As the weather was very warm, this feature had become considerably busy with flies and other flying insects. Directly below this the cereals, fruit and yogurt were arranged, mostly in uncovered dishes. We were concerned that dead insects falling from the ceiling were destined to land in these dishes.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel garden was gorgeous & food was great.
Cons: Would have preferred a larger room. Ours was very small, no full length hanging space in wardrobe and no mirror at desk/dressing table. Decent shelf in bathroom would also have been useful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: lovely location, friendly staff, lovely room
Cons: nothing, lovely hotel suited our needs down to the ground
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was really lovley, team welcoming. Room great size and comfort amazing!
Cons: Nothing, it was all wonderful!
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good and a varied selection . The bed and pillows very comfy and the style of room nice.
Cons: A fan or air con in room would of been helpful as was a hot day / night and didn’t sleep very well . Also got woken up at 5.30am by an unknown person entering our room to which looked like could of been a maid !!!! This wasn’t very good as it’s key card only and unprofessional and they soon realised I think they could see the room was not empty.

Pros: Bed was comfy, location to airport very vood
Cons: Horrible smell through the hotel, no tea or coffee in the room on arrival, and we couldnt get hold of reception when we left, despite it being 24/7
7.5 Good
Pros: Hotel location spot on..
Cons: The food in the bar was over price and microwave food wouldnt recommended it..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice place great breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Usual premier inn standards, couldn't fault the room or the staff.
Cons: Being woken up by workmen at 9.15 in the morning when we had very late check in coming from the airport the night before. For a hotel that covers the airport area and when guests arrive in the early hours of the morning it was a bit early for us to be woken up by drilling and lots of banging of doors.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, close to the airport and airport parking. The staff were very nice. It was quite quiet too which was good as often hotels near the airport are very noisy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really clean and comfortable hotel. We stayed here as we had an early flight the next morning. It was only a 9 minute drive to the airport perfect, also has a pub attached for food and that was great to.
