Pros:La Posada is a beautiful and historic property, well located near the Route 66 sights. I loved learning about the hotel’s history. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. It’s true there’s no in-room coffee but there is coffee in the lobby. AND the Tourquoise Room is not to be missed. Incredible food, beautifully presented. The lovely bar was fantastic too. All the waitstaff were so friendly.
Cons:The hallway noise was my only complaint. That’s partly to do with the fact that’s it’s an older building and not well noise insulated, and very much to do with rude, oblivious guests who think the hallway conversations magically stop at the close door. Hard to blame La Posada for this, so I don’t, but hotels should be aware of how much other guests can color one person’s experience. That said, overall it was delightful.
Pros:You can’t beat the views and proximity to Monument Valley sites. The rooms were acceptable though I found strays hairs in the bathroom.
Cons:Some (not all) of the staff could work harder at displaying hospitality. Also since the restaurant is the only place to eat without leaving the park, it would be good to improve the quality. Our meals of the Navajo tacos and the green Chile stew (both signature dishes) were lackluster.
Pros:Loved the building, the atmosphere, the ambience
Cons:No in room coffee, plenty of in room bugs, tiny bathroom, only select 110v outlets worked.
Pros:Our room was spacious and nicely furnished. The art and history throughout the hotel was very interesting. The restaurant onsite, The Turquoise Room was very nice but not cheap. This is such a unique place to stay.
Pros:Wonderful oppurtunity to stay at a Harvey House. Great building, comfortable bed. Wish I could have stayed longer. On-site restaurant very good.
Cons:Nothing.
Pros:The whole place was such a unique experience that you don't want to leave the hotel. The decorations and the art that the whole place is filled with is exquisite. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. I wish we would have been able to stay longer.
