The location was great and the room was very comfortable. The view from our room was spectacular and, apparently, Queen Sofia stayed just along the hall in 1995. While we didn't go in, it looked like she had a pretty nice room. The pool was very pleasant at the end of a long, hot day of travelling and quite a rare feature in Albarracin. There are 70-80 stairs from the pool to the main part of the hotel but it sounds worse than it is. They are not all in one flight and it is pretty easy to manage. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
There is no a/c in the rooms. It was very hot when we were there and the lack of a/c meant having to sleep with the french windows slightly open. It wasn't a huge problem - just a little awkward and, because our room also overlooked the main road, occasionally a bit noisy.
Wonderfully located in a historically important area - fantastic views and a good restaurant in the hotel
The hotel is located on a steep hillside and the pool area and part of our accommodation was down an 80 step pathway - it was good exercise but quite exhausting for those of more mature years - the pool, however , was excellent It was not possible to park the car overnight near the hotel so a walk was required to retrieve the car in the morning
The location was great! In town but close enough to parking so you don’t have to drag luggage.
The restaurant staff was very difficult when we asked for veggies for my vegan friend.
Location is exellent. Most beautiful town in Spain!!
Wifi did not reach fourth floor.
Lovely old Spanish hotel in a fabulous position. Beautiful furnishings. Very pleasant staff. Good breakfast.
There was no wifi. This is unacceptable in a three star hotel. The dinner was rather basic and not up to three star standard. Albarracin is in Aragón and white wine from that region is fabulous. The three types served in the hotel were not very good and overpriced. The bed was very hard. The rooms are showing signs of wear - calcium around taps, window shutters that didn’t fit and let the light in. My room was a good size, but there was no shelves in the bathroom to put things on. I’ve stayed here three times before, but I won’t stay again.
With a stay at Albarracin in Albarracin, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Plaza Mayor and Muralla de Albarracín. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and an elevator (lift).
