Pros:The staff members were friendly, helpful, and efficient. They all seemed to go above and beyond the confines of their job. The breakfast was great. Using fairly basic ingredients, the staff provided us with a healthy, tasty breakfast -- yogurt, good fruit, good breakfast meat, oatmeal, as well as the standard waffles etc. It was probably the best breakfast that I've had at a Hampton. They kept it stocked and fresh. The dining room was really comfortable and well set up. There was a decent amount of space between diners; we weren't crowded. The people working there were gracious. Check in was fast and friendly, as was check out. Anything we requested was given quickly and graciously.
Cons:The pool area was not as clean as it could have been. The smell from the hot tub, while not strong, indicated that attention was needed. The rooms were clean enough, but not great. But they didn't feel as sharply maintained as other places. For example, there was a bug in the room. Although it was a suite, there was only one little bottle of shampoo and conditioner; we had to ask for more. It wasn't the end of the world. The front desk was incredibly helpful and generous. It was just not as good looking and well thought out as other Hampton rooms. The set up was odd, too. The suite had no dividing wall or door. Instead, a large credenza-type object divided the room. And the second sink was to the side as you entered the room.
