This hotel is in an old villa converted fairly recently into a hotel The rooms are large, have been designed to retain the feeling of the villa and are generally well supplied. The restaurant serves excellent cuisine and is worth visiting even if you don't stay at the hotel. There is one English channel on the tv -- bbc World. We didn't use the gym or pool due to the time of year and our brief stay, but it looked complete.
The entrance to the hotel off of the road is very steep or must be done via a dirt track to get onto the hotel driveway into the very ample parking lot. This approach from the road should be modified. The tv in the room was small. There was room for a larger one, and the small one seemed lost in the big room.
staff and hotel were delightful, I am coeliac and the staff and chef were able to provide gluton free meals Including gluten free bread. It is rare that I am shown such attention and could not have asked for better service. Decor and comfort were really great. shame we were there for only one night
Everything was just great. Staff excellent - friendly and efficient. I decided to change room type at the last minute as realised that Junior Suite didn't have a balcony and that was no problem at all. Our room had a panoramic view of the countryside and mountains. Dinner (Three- course - €18.50 at the time) was excellent, unusual blends of flavours and beautifully cooked meat. At breakfast a lovely lady was frying eggs whichever way you liked them and there was plenty of choice. Bed was comfortable, internet connection in room, very good. The hotel has an almost Colonial feel to it. Excellent!
Had a little trouble finding it as hotels are not officially signposted. It showed up on the opposite side of the road and further away than the GPS showed. A sign in both directions would help, but this is a tiny niggle, not a complaint.
A well appointed hotel and great ambience, short walk to the Old Town, a good place to relax, really enjoyed our short stay, breakfast very good.
Out of town so no traffic noise. Very Spanish atmosphere. Very obliging restaurant coped with unusual allergy. Pleasant gardens, comfy bed, good bathroom.
Not a nice walk into town, especially at night, no footpath, no street lights. Bedrooms furnished Spanish style, simply, so no armchairs.
