4.0 Okay
Pros: There were works being carrried out at the hotel which smelt of paint and dust in the lobby area and the spa was closed - only discovered this on the day. The heating system in the bedroom made loud clicking noises throughout the night which disturbed our sleep. Didn’t feel like a four start hotel we were surprised it had this ranking. Staff fine and room clean but overall disappointing. The fire alarm also went off for testing in the morning - overall not a relaxing stay!
Cons: It was generally disappointing and should have closed while they were having major work done. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and travel regularly for work.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist was lovely and very helpful when I arrived. Room was nice and warm.
Cons: As it was late I decided to order room service and that when the wheels fell off. When the food didn’t arrive after an hour I chased. The order hadn’t gone through. The invoice was supposed to be pushed under the door before I left but wasn’t there. I asked for it at reception and was told that they would post it or email it. I’m still waiting...... Overall it felt like the B team was on duty that day.....
10.0 Excellent

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom facilities were clean. The meal was lovely and our children ate free which was a real bonus. Staff were friendly, polite and welcoming.
Cons: Everything was excellent but we have 5 children and had to book two different rooms. Would be good if you had a family room or could accommodate an extra little one. Otherwise we liked everything.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Nice bar area to meet and socialise however drinks are a little over priced
Cons: The bathroom was grubby with mildew on the walls and bath mats. Had a meal I. The restaurant which again was overpriced and low quality. Spicy tomato soup was in my opinion tinned tomato’s, blitzed with a bit of chilli powder to give it a kick. No other flavour or seasoning. The pulled lamb tacos was returned to kitchen for been dry and tasteless. This was replaced with a pepperoni pizza which had no pepperoni. Needless to say I will not be eating at the restaurant again.

Cons: Evening manager was awful.Pub attached terrible, and smelled awful,as we were thinking of eating there but when we entered, the bar tender had her face stuffed with food and announced,"We've just opened"I asked for lemon in my drink it didn't come with any, when I again asked she went to put it in with her fingers.Went to pay and got"Don't take card under £5".In a very nasty way,not sorry,or do you have cash.We went back to the hotel and mentioned to the manager, and she said,"She gets rave reviews".Ordered a meal With roast baby potatoes, came with boiled,no sauce,so asked for butter for them and said because It says in the menu they are roast.Told very sharply by the femail manager"THEY ARE ROAST BABY POTATOES!"I pealed the skin off to show they weren't and she just walked off.Butter didn't come, beef was like a bit of shoe leather...£19!Rest of the staff were fab in the hotel, but she was vile,my whole group said they would never stay there again because of her attitude.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and spacious
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very well situated as it's just off the high street
Cons: Nice little B&B but spoiled because the room I had was an internal room with no windows. This wouldn't be a problem but it had a skylight which had seagulls jumping all over it & sqwarking in the early hours of the morning. Also had really loud church bells ringing from very early on so I couldn't sleep past 7am

Pros: One of cheapest places to stay in ashford and had good reviews
Cons: I had wait over 10w minutes at reception for someone to pick my room to then be told take key number off the desk. Not very professional in my opinion. Then in the bathroom I took a shower to be greet by a guy in room 7 checking and knocked on my room door twice then tired show me his room which I didnot entre.

4.0 Okay
Pros: The rural location
Cons: The service was poor, unfriendly staff - we were staying to celebrate our engagement but in fact felt an inconvenience. The quality of the room / linen etc was not high enough given the price. A major disappointment.
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff member Nik

Cons: Nothing. Everything was brilliant.

Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, very comfortable accommodation
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great service, lovely food, comfortable room and pleasant staff.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The air conditioning in the room and the ability to turn off the bathroom extractor fan at night.
Cons: Dinner 1st night; chips cooked in same oil as fish meaning that they were strongly tainted both in smell and taste, I prevented my disabled father who is allergic to fish and shellfish eating his to avoid anaphylaxis. I raised the issue with the waiter that evening who offered to get them replaced we declined. The following morning at breakfast where the buffet was very basic, no croissants or fruit salad I ordered the full English breakfast which came with saute potatoes which again tasted and smelt of fish. I again raised this with the staff on duty and the team leader on checkout. I recieved an explanation that the kitchen used 2 fryers, one for non gluten products, and one for products using gluten including chips and saute potatoes as they are bought in with a coating on then. Good for the coeliac disease sufferers however shows no risk assessment for other allergy groups as well as Vegans and Vegetarians. We decided to dine elsewhere the second night of our stay which was a shame as the restaurant on site was one of the reasons we booked with you instead of going to one of the budget chains. Breakfast day 2 was a better affair....croissants, fresh fruit, flavoured yoghurts all available. We avoided anything that required deep frying. Disabled bedroom clean but only suitable for ambulant disabled persons as bathroom too small to be able to manoeuvre a wheelchair and for a carer to give assistance, also red emergency cable should reach to the floor in case of a fall. A disabled person would not currently be able to call for help. Please take all of this in the spirit it is given as constructive criticism from a member of the Institute of Hospitality and also the Royal Society for Public Health.
6.0 Good
Pros: The food was quite good. The staff were very pleasant and professional.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely village lovely hotel.
Cons: Concerning animals there were none there that we came across this weekend however I would like to express my disgust at restaurants and pubs who allow dogs into their eating areas ! Not hygienic !
6.7 Good
Pros: Location and close to Ashford and the staff were great
Cons: All be it ‘dog friendly’ If you don’t have a dog who would want a dog begging at the table when you are having a meal? The bar before dinner was overrun with dogs running around and acting like they were at the local park. If I wanted to see such a dog display I would have gone to Crafts. Breakfast was spoilt by a large black dog barking and being over excited in a cramped breakfast area I’m not anti-dog but the dig owners had no consideration for guests who did not want to participate in dog worshiping, and hearing how the dog slept on the bed alright is not inspiring for a return trip for us!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: great staff, fantastic breakfast. Food in pub really good
Cons: shower, I like a bath

3.1 Mediocre
Pros: car parking good
Cons: absolutely filthy, disgusting rooms. bathroom worse than anything we have ever experienced. We asked to be moved but hotel wanted extra money! 13 year old grandson was refused use of the pool as it was time for the leisure club members to arrive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All of it but the bed was amazing
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: Clean and tidy
Cons: A bit expensive for what it is, bar drinks very expensive
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Well equipped room with comfortable bed, large walk-in shower, separate coffee machine, large, 55", flat screen TV . Leisure facilities with good size pool"~15m", sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, With bath robes and slippers provided in the room. Great location just across the promenade road from the beach and obviously next to the golf course. The food in the main restaurant was very good although we later discovered there is an Indian Restaurant on the premises which was not well publicized before the stay.
Cons: Although the leisure area was comprehensive and looked as though it had been partially updated, there were a few rough edges, and the poor member of staff at the leisure reception seemed to have a tiny cluttered room to work in.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: the stay
Cons: The breakfast was overly high in price and as such we did not have breakfast at the hotel, as we have done on previous occasions. Maybe bring down the cost of breakfast to an affordable price and if having to cut out on the luxuries of breakfast then so be it; and if people did want luxuries for breakfast then the option should be there to pay extra for them

Pros: It was Brilliant! Loved the whole place really classy and well run with lovely staff. Great place for a special occasion, its not cheap but you pay for what you get its a cut above the rest, if you love animals you will love this!
Cons: Weather could have been better but cant do much about that! Maybe more signage would be good?
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Having joined in the safari we had an excellent guide who explained what PL was all about - after - we wanted to find out more. The set up is genius. We loved the golf buggies to scoot about. We loved the hotel and the food was excellent, gardens and grounds beautiful and the whole ethos incredibly inspiring. We were slightly sceptical it would be so enjoyable - but we were blown away. Our hotel room in the main house was quite dated but it added to the charm. It was v clean and comfortable. Thank you Port Lympe!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing decor and atmosphere. Loved the floor tiles and art work
Cons: Coffee Luke warm at breakfast, COD skin soggy at dinner
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed here with my 10yo son for one night only and he absolutely loved it The animal park provides a great safari to see a fantastic collection of animals in the wild but it's even better when the park closes and you have the chance to see the them in the relative peace and quiet after 6.30pm We had dinner at the pizzeria which was excellent but an added bonus was being next to the big cats and seeing/hearing the lions roar as the sun came down The hotel itself is very grand and the room was fantastic It is great value for money and I would recommend this to anyone
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is stunning and the views are amazing. Bedroom was very relaxing and comfy night sleep. Breakfast was lovely, lots to chose from and we were very well looked after. Baby dolls restaurant was lovely and really enjoyed being able to wonder round the park and go round on safari truck.
Cons: Weren't made aware the restaurant we booked for dinner was in the middle of the park and were told we could walk but path is pitch black, cold and wet as it's winter. Would be fine in the summer, eventually we were told we could get a minibus down as we were about to start walking! As our room was above the entrance to the hotel we could hear heavy equipment being moved in to the hotel quite early in the morning. When going around the wildlife park in the golf buggy it wasn't incredibly clear where the path was and where we could and couldn't go, much easier to walk round.

Pros: Very welcoming owners...who accepted our booking an hour before we arrived at 9.30 p.m.. I had stayed there several years ago when they first took over the B&B and was amazed at how much they have done since...to improve and extend the facilities to a much higher level. Owners were happy to open the bar for we 2 weary travellers to relax with a very good draught Guinness! Much appreciated!
Cons: We liked everything...only possible improvement could be a desk for computer etc in the room....???
