Not enough lighting outside
The only positive thing I can say is the room and bathroom seemed clean.
The lighting was really bad. There were overhead fluorescent lights in both the sleeping and bathroom areas. They were both very dim and flickered. The room was right next to the office, basically on the street so the noise was bad. And I didn’t have parking in front of the room but across the parking lot, which is unusual for a motor hotel. The only chair in the room to sit on was a plastic lawn chair. Also, the sign outside of the motel advertised rooms for $59 per night where I paid $73 (including taxes). When I asked about the difference the staff person said it cost more because I booked online.
It was terrible!! I wouldn’t even take my shoes off much less sleep in the bed! It smelled of mold sprayed over by Lysol. The 2 chairs were outdoor plastic chairs. The shower was disgusting!! The second room was even WORSE! Did not get a refund!!!!
Pillows, no hair dryer!
The property is about 2-3 miles from Acadia National Park Visitor Center.
Heating problems. Complimentary coffee was not well stock.
