Beautiful setting on the waters edge. Nice breakfast.
At 36°C and after 1hr by train to Como, then 50min standing on a metro bus to Bellagio, we are told we have to walk to hotel, 15 min over the hill. With cobbled streets, it is impossible to drag our cases on wheels, we have to carry. No aircon, in room or anywhere in hotel! This was a first in all of Italy hotels. Very overpriced. Duvet is not covered, just an undersheet, so do they actually wash the duvet itself after every guest?
Expensive and the food in the restaurant was below par for the area.
Location is amazing and the hotel is so relaxed and friendly. We loved our stay here. Short walk to the town can be steep but we got used to doing the Pescallo walk. The smell of flowers everywhere is sometimes overpowering but it just adds to the prettiness. I would love to stay here again if I was going to return to Bellagio. Great place to be for a few days was perfect for us.
This hotel has the best setting in Bellagio - on the quieter Lecco Lake side, with a terrace right on the waterfront. Our room was on the corner with a partial lake view, but you could still see plenty of the lake from the balcony. The balcony also overlooked the car park, but as it is fairly quiet that wasn't a problem. We decided to have dinner on the first night and the food is excellent. Although on the pricey side, you definitely get what you pay for, with nice touches such as a Prosecco aperitif, a pre-starter amuse bouche and amazing selection of little treats with coffee. The staff are friendly and professional.
On foot access to the hotel involves many steps unless you go the long way round by the road, but it's a small disadvantage for such a great location.
The stuff was so lovely and extra welcoming everything was perfect.
With a stay at Hotel La Pergola in Bellagio, you'll be within a 15-minute walk of Villa Melzi and Branch of Lecco. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
