Personnel was very kind. Cleanness of the hotel, rooms and restaurant are good. The hotel it self is old but cozy and meet the outlines of the hotel and place where it is located. Breakfast food was fresh and prepared very well and terrace was great place to eat. Quiet place. Parking is available and free.
Nice looking from the outside, nice park around it, nice lady serving breakfast
Small mediocre rooms, inside of hotel does not really look like a castle, breakfast underwhelming for price, large and busy street nearby with noise. As there was no complimentary snacks or coffee in the room, I went into the breakfast room hoping to find some snacks or left overs from breakfast. There was nothing sadly, and when I went into the next adjacent room ( kitchen), I was “caught” by the receptionist who had run up the stairs to “catch me”. She was still panting from running up the stairs. Rather than simply saying to me, that I had no business in the kitchen, she went on to lecture me about my criminal behaviour, asked me how I dare going into a (unlocked, no “no entry” sign) breakfast kitchen and look around. She made me truly feel like a child and a criminal who had invaded a private space, rather than a hotel guest going into the breakfast room and adjacent breakfast kitchen. But worse was to come. The next morning they had added 5 euro to my bill despite the fact that I had not actually taken anything. When I mentioned this fact of being “charged for being seen in the breakfast kitchen”, another male staff who was passing by, started to insult me, and making racist comments about “what horrible family I grew up in” and horrible country I came from” where I had “not learned proper behaviour”. It would have been a ridiculous situation, and would have made me laugh, but the level of aggression and verbal abuse that followed was frightening to me. I have never made a similarly bad experience in my years of traveling through 110 countries. It was unreal. In a bad way. For some reasons, he got into a rage when I told him that my family upbringing was just fine, and that Canada was not a “horrible country” and my “world view” was simply a bit different and more relaxed than his. To which he made racist comments because he mentioned that “his” (the german) values are so much superior and better to mine.
Lovely, peaceful location. Friendly staff.
The curtains in our room, which was on the top floor, were dress curtains and wouldn't close properly, letting light in early morning. A tea/coffee maker would have been nice
This is a very lovely Bavarian châtelet, and pictures don't really do it justice. The village you drive trough is like a little fairy land. We've been here in may, and the Maypoles were still up. Very cute. We chose this hotel because of it convenient location on our way to Munich, since it's very close to autobahn. We arrived late at night, unfortunately I didn't have a chance to see it during the day much, but I saw it has a lovely garden. Since we were so late, the keys were waiting for us in a coded locker. We found our room without problems. The room I booked was a suite, very spacious and I'm sure I could enjoy it more if I stayed longer. The bed was extremely comfotable and quiet. Floor heating troughout. Very clean and spacious. Huge TV for hotel standards.
The breakfast was a bit basic. Would love to have some more choice. The breakfast room was also very small and a bit cramped, but very cosy nevertheless. Alltogether not much to report on the bad side.
Nice hotel, staff was very helpful. clean room, very good bed.we slept as babies. breakfast - a lot of food to choose. wellness ok, few steps from hotel, very good restaurant.
i have nothing to mention
