Diane was beyond efficient and pleasant while maintaining a smile and grace, while a number of unattended children were onboard. My seat was changed, and that's fine - mostly because of the manner in which the crew at Pearson handled it. Then, I couldn't resist giving up my re-assigned (centre) seat so that two sisters could sit together. The two folk in my row were lovely, they talked more than I did, but when I joined in, it was a genuinely pleasant conversation. Three strangers, meeting per chance. The woman next to me had given her seat up for a family to sit together, so it really was a chance encounter! Diane needs to be promoted!"

Not the fault of the airline of course, but if there was a bit more leg room, it would have been a less claustrophobic trip. I used to fly a lot back in the 70s and early 80s and I don't remember ever being so uncomfortable. I have another trip flying back home at the end of the week, and, quite frankly I'm dreading it. Also, it was impossible to hear the captain's address, the on-board instructions, or various other announcements, in the airport and on the plane. Especially on the plane; the speakers were far too quiet to hear anything the captain said other than it was a nice day."

Cons: "There was no food for sale on a 4 hour flight from Hamilton to Calgary the flight left at 6:30 a.m., meaning that one had to be at the airport by 5:30 a.m., and for me leave where I was staying an hour before that. It was a connecting flight in Calgary with almost no time in the airport so I didn't get to eat until I arrived in Nanaimo at 1:15 p.m., Ontario time. for health reasons - I'm diabetic, I wish I had known that no "real" food was available. I got a snack which I read had 50 calories, and I got a juice which I normally won't drink to maintain blood sugar levels."

Even though the items listed in the dislike are 3 in number, and added to an uncomfortable experience, some of them are identifiable as beyond control, yet others are within the control of system set up or process."
Cons: "small items that I didn't like were : 1) Temperature, and 2) wifi 3) waiting for electrical. 1) Temperature: When boarding the plane the Temperature of the cabin was extremely warm. The pilot advised of the condition, this was not something that could have been fixed and I think they handled it well. I just didn't like the 90+ temperature 2) Wifi: was intermittent, I ensured the Westjet app was the only one running, but the movie I was watching was pausing every 15 minutes to buffer. So it was a constant reminder of dial up.... 3) waiting for electrical: Upon landing and taxi-ing to the ramp, the pilot was advised that there was no electrical to support the plane after he turned off the engines. So good that he waited, thank you pilot, and not so good as it was another unpleasant item on the plane ride."

And when they call half of all passengers of a full 757 or 767 to board at the same time... the law of the jungle is stablished. Even with just a little more effort and organization from the airline it would be possible to make this a better experience for all passengers. Be aware of what you are told when you buy your tickets. They sold economy tickets to us and then charged a lot for bags telling us our tickets were economy light, even with their own receipts or tickets not mentioning anything about light on them."

Cons: "Admittedly this is something of an airport issue more than an airline issue, however considering Icelandair is one of the few airlines servicing the airport in Reykjavik there has to be some level of coordination going on between the two entities. Regardless, 5 different US-bound flights were all scheduled to leave within 15 minutes of each other in the same small corner of the Reykjavik airport, so when delays started coming in due to weather that area became an extremely congested mess. Perhaps its a cultural norm in Iceland to just remain silent in times of mini-crisis, but the desk attendants made no effort to communicate what was going on to the hundreds of people crammed in atop one another in the waiting area. This led to a lot of frustration from the waiting travelers. Both of these problems could have been prevented by better planning (not scheduling all outbound flights happening in a quarter hour's time into the same small corner of the airport) and better communication from the airline staff, the lack of which really aggravated a difficult situation for the people there. Once on the flight, though, everything went very smoothly, and the flight crew was quite apologetic and professional."

We also hit some turbulence but that might be standard fare for the route."

However when I came back to check in for the second flight, the original attendant had forgotten to actually add me to the standby list and in the meantime, my connecting flight had become overbooked. The check-in folks argued about whether I could be upgraded to fit onto this flight, but decided that since the original dely was my fault, the best they could offer was a flight at the same time the following day. I asked if I could rebook my return flight to push it back a day, and they told me that figure reservations could only be changed over the phone. I totally accept that monitoring the validity of my passport is my responsibility, but refusing to put in an ounce of effort to assist their customers with relatively unknown and counterintuitive restrictions, then not admitting to fault of your own or lifting a finger to make up for blatantly crappy service if it even slightly affects their bottom line is absurd. Do better, Iberia. Oh wait, you're an airline. I won't hold my breath."

What is worse, there customer personnel at the airports (Paris and Seville) were rude and careless. They told us to file a complaint thru the website in Spanish because they did not know the address of the English site and because they said '"in Iberia customer service, nobody reads English"."

I had 2.5 hours to board my connecting flight and they caused me to miss it. As I waited in the customs line entering Lisbon, I asked a TAP representative if I’d have to get out of the line up and go right through as my flight left at 2:10 pm. They said you will make it, stay in line. I get near the front of the line 2 hours later... hundreds of people were in this line and they only had 2/10 customs agents available!!! I ask another representative how far my gate is since my flight leaves in 30 min and she told me “no you missed it. but don’t worry others will be missing it too”. So no I did not miss it, you caused me to miss it cause I already asked if I would and you people told me no. I run to the gate, which has now changed to the other end of the airport, so I run to that gate and it is 10 min before the flight is to take off. I ask the desk agent at the gate and he tells me the flight has already left. Others had missed it too due to the insane customs line up. So the plane left 20 mins earlier than scheduled with only half it’s passengers..... unbelievable!!! When I went to the service desk they did not show any sympathy or apologetic behaviours whatsoever."

The aircraft had minimal room and no entertainment. We got on our next flight five hours later and all they gave us was a $10 food voucher. So poorly managed."
