Liked the location and the drinks in the lobby
Didn’t like: (1) there was limited hours in the lobby (my husband ended up having to work early in the morning and WiFi was not good in the room) (2) lights were too bright in our room (3) no restaurant (4) can hear the neighbors upstairs (they were very heavy-footed) and the neighbors beside us (walls were thin) (4) the doors need draft guides (it gets cold at night!)
The view was outstanding. The staff was nice. It was great having coffee available in the lobby.
We had NO idea there were going to be screaming kids outside early in the morning! We had to leave a day early, because I couldn't sleep with all the noise! The bed and pillows weren't very comfortable. The website said in-room coffee--which there wasn't. Also, it was advertised there was an in-house ski rental place on the premises--which there wasn't. Because we left a day early, the receptionist said booking.com was going to refund 50% of the room for that third day. I am still waiting to receive the credit.
Everything was old and run down. The room really needs a major upgrade (even a paint job would help). We paid over $185 for a deluxe room and it was not worth that. No tea/coffee facilities in the room. Had to walk outside in negative temps, to the other end of the building to reception to get a coffee which tasted really really bad
The view of the lake from our window.
Have small single cup coffee pots and microwaves in each of the rooms. For paying $300 a night we should not have to walk all the way down to the lobby to get coffee etc. That is what you do at a Motel 6.
The fireplace. The view of the lake.
The bathrooms were pretty dirty, old, and unclean. The carpet in the room felt dingy. There were plastic vertical blinds on the windows which were cheap and didn't work well.
