Complimentary choc was old, service welcoming and friendly, food was awesome.
Staff very attentive
Bed very low and not comfortable at all. No able to get a sandwich for lunch.
Greeted and catered by friendly staff. Room was spacious & comfortable. The setting of the manor was picturesque.
Can’t think of anything
Staff delightful. Room nicely done. Very comfy bed. Ground floor lounge, dinning rooms, etc were lovely but cozy and comfortable at the same time. Very convenient for the NEC.
We live in a very rural location so found the road noise a little intrusive when out enjoying their grounds - not noticed inside.
The room and bathroom were nicely, and by the looks of it recently, furnished although fittings were a bit cheap and wobbly. Staff were all friendly, cheerful and attentive.
This hotel seems to be undecided on what it is. There are the occasional flourishes which you'd find in a nice boutique hotel. There are also areas which I've not seen in a hotel since the 80's : Best of Tom Jones music in the restaurant, chintz decorations, no air conditioning, glum furnishings in the bar and lounge. I was also a bit shocked to see fire doors wedged open, clutter everywhere and a notice on reception saying that abuse to staff won't be tolerated (Of course it won't but does it happen so frequently you have to remind every guest?!?!). All-in-all, a place to avoid and the owners should probably decide whether they want to be a cheap hotel (in which case go and visit a recently refurbished Holiday Inn Express which hit this mark perfectly) or become a boutique hotel (in which case go and visit a nice one and see the level you actually need to hit).
