Beautiful big and airy room with high spec bathroom and stylishly decorated. Our greeting was warm and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. This is an unusual accommodation as it is in a restored older building, overlooking a narrow road. There are only a few guests and the entrance is unique and full of atmosphere. This is not your typical hotel room. It was beautiful and very chic ( though with shades of rustic)
The street was noisy at night though if you shut window the noise was greatly diminished. The winding stone staircase inside was fabulous, but made hauling bags up a hassle (note to self: travel light so things like awesome staircases aren't a problem)
The location was really good.
We were allocated a room in the basement where we could not open the window since mosquitos were just waiting outside. It felt like in a cave as there was no natural light. Additionally the air circulation was really bad. We did not expect to stay in a basement for EUR 160,- per night. At least we should have been informed beforehand that we were given a basement room. In that case the price would have been much too high.
Really quiet in general. Exceptionally nice host. The warm welcome and smile was one of the best I ever experienced while traveling. Although the few close street in the city are not the nicest ones, everything is pretty close, including the public transfer systems as well.
The room was pretty dark. Although it was really quiet in general, the room was below the lounge, and the flooring in the lounge was cracking pretty loudly when people walked on it. But it only bothered a little bit in the morning, when we was preparing to get breakfast anyways, so it wasn't a problem in the end. The restroom was really modern, clean and nice in general, the only drawback is there is only a full transparent glass wall between the room and the restroom. It's not a big deal for showering, but for using the toilet it was uncomfortable and really weird. To be fair, the pictures about the rooms here show this "feature". It wasn't that obvious to find, but wasn't actually hard as well.
It was very stylish and comfortable room. Shower was amazing. The staff was really helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend it.
