The pickup staff tried to put another day on my rental because I arrived 30 minutes early. When P asked why tge cost was double, they afmitted their "mistake". The dropoff inspector asked me to fill out a damage report over a pen-tip sized mark on the windshield. The 1st time in my life this has happened. I will advise people to avoid Budget car rental.Reviewed 6 May 2026

This is a new parking garage and it seems it is only partially in use so the exit signs are not accurate. The staff did not inform me of this or how to leave the garage upon pick up. The signs show exits that end in barricades and after 20 minutes of driving in circles I had to ask another employee (not a car rental employee, as I couldn't find anyone around to help) in the garage informed me that I need to go through the "return" area in order to leave the premise. I had to help another couple out of the garage as well as they were also confused. This could have been avoided if the staff were to inform renters upon picking up their car.Reviewed 29 Nov 2025

Staff not friendly. I understand that it was a busy period but they could at least take the time to answer questions.Reviewed 23 May 2025

Rented during a weekend of major airline disruptions. Considering the pressure, Budget came through. Staff at the YUL branch were top notch. I wish I was able to get in touch by phone directly, or that call center staff were able to provide better location-specific updatesReviewed 22 Feb 2025

I like the comfort. I didn't like the readiness and promptness; I didn't get the car rented at the time I booked (about 1hr30 mins delayed) but still had to return at the time booked.Reviewed 27 Aug 2024

Budget tried to give me a sedan even though I paid for an SUV. This was right after they gave away an SUV at no extra cost to the person in line in front of me. They took an hour to find another SUV.Reviewed 2 Jun 2024
