Calvià hotels

Pros: The trip was excellent also due to the owners of the hotel. Juan helped us with everything that we needed (he gave us a sun umbrella and inflatable mattresses for the beach), a lot of info about what we can visit etc. Totally recommed

Pros: Right from the welcome we received on our arrival everything about our stay at Hotel Creta was superb. It was spotlessly clean, no wonder as the room was cleaned every single day, beds made and towels changed. The hotel manager even lent us 2 beach towels free of charge. On that note the lovely air conditioning in the room was free of charge and very welcome as each day was 35 degrees or more! Even the safe in the room came at no charge. The room was very nicely decorated with a balcony with 2 chairs and a table (the door and windows to the balcony were double glazed which kept out any noise from the street). The beds were very comfortable with memory foam mattresses. The TV in the room was a 32" flat screen Samsung which I could hook up my laptop to with a HDMI cable so we were able to watch Netflix on a bigger screen. The WiFi was free and plenty strong enough to run Netflix. The location of the hotel is second to none with the beach being only 3 minutes walk (our room had a fantastic sea view which we were not expecting) and the hotel is surrounded by shops, restaurants and bars plus the hotels own restaurant and bar called Hawaii. The hotel and its restaurant are family owned and run and you can definitely tell that it is, attention to detail is in everything they do and you can feel they are very passionate about it. We thoroughly enjoyed our 8 days at the hotel and cannot recommend it enough.

Pros: OUR ROOM WAS UPGRADED TO A PETITE BOUTIQUE WITH A FRONT SEA VIEW FROM A STANDARD ROOM JUAN AND HIS FATHER AND BROTHER WHERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE The WINDOWS ARE TRIPLE GLAZED AND STOP A LOT OF OUTSIDE NOISE THE AC IS QUIET. AS IT WAS TOWARDS THE END OF THE SEASON I WAS ABLE TO KEEP THE ROOM TILL MYBUS TO THE AIRPORT EARLY AFTERNOON WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK TO THE CRETA HOTEL

Cons: There was no access to TV news in English

Pros: Very clean and comfortable room. Hosts were very accommodating.

Cons: Inclusive breakfast should include English Breakfast.

Pros: staff were friendly and helpful. Everything is near by. Bus stop and beach are few meters away.

Pros: Beautifully clean family run hotel. The staff are extremely welcoming and can’t do enough for you. Excellent location. Would definitely recommend.

Pros: Everything. Beautiful, old house, well looked after. The staff really went the extra mile to accommodate all our needs. We have asked for vegan breakfast and they made an extra effort to buy alternative options on top of the amazing daily freah fruit and vegetables, etc. Some other guests had other needs and they were all looked after very well and were provided gluten free options, etc.

Cons: Our bed in the studio was a little too firm for our liking but still a great and comfortable, food size bed :)

Pros: Son Malero is a beautiful old Finca with a splendid pool area totally fit for staying full days relaxing there. As it is an old place with original furniture don't expect that everything is shiny. But this adds to the authentic feel. The owner couple is very attentive and caring (prepared baby food for us each day) and the vers good breakfast on the porch was the perfect start into the day.

Cons: It is really far off and Calvia has basically one overpriced restaurant and a bar. As we had no car and a room with no kitchen this was rather problematic for us. Bring moskito spray!

Pros: Owner was very friendly and welcoming. Lovely healthy breakfast. Rooms were spacious and clean with plenty of privacy. Location just outside Calvia was idyllic and only a short taxi journey to the beach areas. I would highly recommend for any couple travelling.

Cons: Nothing really.

Pros: A peaceful countryside retreat, only 15 minutes drive to the coast. Helpful hosts provided crockery so we could picnic in the garden. Spotlessly clean. Beautifully appointed room. Excellent swimming pool for cooling off after a day out. Breakfast was delicious, with fine views from the terrace. We loved it!

Cons: AC could have been a little more efficient, but it was a minor issue as the place is so beautiful!

Pros: Lovely hosts Christiane and Norbert were very welcoming. Their breakfast is top quality with fresh ingredients, large variety of foods from cheeses and meats to bircher muesli, fresh fruit, croissants and home made bread and jams. You can also order for free anything you want such as eggs any style, sausages, pancakes. Try their veggie omelette - it's incredible! You can also use tea-coffee machine any time of the day at the dining room - which I really enjoyed doing. The house is recently renovated, but was built in 16th (or 17th) century. The furniture is unique and antique, rooms are spacious and comfy, even body lotion is very good. I was really happy to spend 2 nights in this Finca just laying by the lovely pool and enjoying the sun and roosters and crickets sounds. You can also request to have some antipasti for dinner if you don't fancy driving out. You'll be served some warm bread, cheese, olives and ham (see photo). And you can take cava, wine, beer, lemonade or ice-cream from the fridge and pay when checking out.

Cons: The only drawback I'd say is location - it's about 25 min walk in a deserted area to the central road and nearest cafe/shop. If you have a car - that's not a big deal. But if you travel by taxi - then it's quite a faraway place from either a beach or entertainment.

Pros: The building, the views, the hosts, the ambience

Pros: Everything was perfect! The host very welcomed us for babymoon. We decided to leave the hotel at 7 o'clock in the morning, and the host kindly take care us!

Pros: Amazing breakfast selection, something for everyone. Entire hotel was very very clean and staff couldn't do enough.

Cons: the rooms are overpriced in the room the chair was rather uncomfortable with open nails in it, the balcony was illuminated until midnight without possibility to switch the light off, reception contacted us through the telephone hanging in WC, the adult pool was overcrowded by children and closes already at 19:00 together with sauna (very restrictive for a 5 star hotel), during nights the current in hotel was frequently switched off and on so that the current fuse made unpleasant noise each time, rooms are rather unpractical with only few shells and hooks

Pros: Very friendly and polite staff in all areas. All inclusive was well worth it. The hotel is very child friendly too. Hotel accepted our request for a baby crib as well as late check out. The children’s entertainment staff receives full marks ( the 2 girls and 1 guy; they go extra length to make sure kids are happy and you can see that on the faces of kids also) The spa services are also good. Would definitely return.

Cons: The bed could have been bit more comfortable; woke up everyday with a frozen painful back.

Pros: Room big and clean, reception helpful, animation both kids and evening.

Cons: Pools for adults and children were cold . Main restaurant and A La Carte restaurants serve wide range of dishes but not tasty at all. In the morning there isn’t freshly squeezed orange juice. In all of the restaurants staff is very slow. When we check-in we were waiting for bell boy to bring our luggage almost 1,5- 2 hours and it was the day of our anniversary.

Pros: The place was very clean, comfortable and staff were very friendly. We don't have kids yet but it looked like the perfect place for family. Staff were great with kids.

Cons: Slightly overpriced and they don't have lower light to go to the bathroom at night. Everytime I went to the bathroom at night, I would wake up my partner and the same the other way around because the light was too bright.
