Atmospheric historical pub/hotel I was also very comfortable with Luxurious touches like stand alone bath Obviously location great in beautiful Welsh town/village of Laurgharne Beautiful castle mixture of architecture coastal walks etc
Bath was rather deep for partner It was also raised so found it difficult to get out as she has short legs although is 5 foot 4 inches Not that bigger deal and she loved the general bathroom experience
The staff were friendly. Slightly unusually for this day and age the lady who booked us in offered to carry bags up stairs.
Restaurant not open on Mon or Tues (this was Tues) and not much open in the village. Room acceptable but a little gloomy. Bath was huge and very high. Not suitable for shorter people, the unfit or the elderly. The shower was in the bath thus not easily accessible. A famous bar. It didn't have non alcoholic beer, ginger beer, apple juice or Martini Rosso. Breakfast; dead flowers in the dining room and burnt and scraped toast.
Lovely room, nice bar area, nice location
I’d stayed there before and returned because I had a good meal and the room was nice. This time my colleague and I arrived on a Monday evening after a long day of travel to find they don’t do food on a Monday. Nor could they recommend anywhere that was open. I’ll stay there again, just not in a Monday!
Lovely hotel in the middle of Laugharne with a cosy bar and welcoming staff. Rooms were a decent size and designed with care and attention.
Good size bathroom with a huge bath. Bed was also huge.
Didn’t realise when booking that restaurant closed on Tuesdays.
