This hotel really is at the heart of the city. It is very convenient to get around if you are traveling for business or just want to stay in Uptown. The staff is very kind and frequently gave me suggestions and helped me arrange transportation at the last minute to the airport. My room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The rooftop pool was very nice.
The pool area was not cleaned as often as it should have been. Towels and wrappers were left for a few days on the tables and chairs. Because of the pandemic situation, they are only serving a few breakfast items at the cafe that were pricey for what you got. Parking is also $28 a day for guests.
The location was perfect. The front desk staff were friendly, considerate, and professional.
The room smelled horribly of smoke. I really should have changed rooms. I let the front desk staff know and they did offer for me to change rooms and I declined. The next day when we were getting our items together to leave we noticed cigarette ashes on the side of the bed close to the wall. My daughter looked under the bed near the ashes and saw rose petals. Clearly housekeeping missed this and it leads me to believe no one vacuumed the floor on that side of the bed. Knowing this doesn’t make me want to stay there again.

As their name suggests, you find all the things you would expect to find at a Marriott. Very clean from bottom to top, comfy beds, nice views of the city (maybe not from every room), extremely conveinient downtown location, and very friendly staff. I stayed on halloween for $100 on kayak and the front desk staff were in costume and very nice! I'm usually wary of booking through 3rd party sites having worked in hotels and having seen all the issues that arise. However there were no problems, no extra fees (other than parking which was stated online), and no regrets. I would definitely stay again.
I didn't like that i had to pay to park only one car. i did know before hand about the fee but it still seems like bulls**t to pay to park in the garage of the hotel you're staying in.
