Beautiful little village. As we are a family of 6, we had 3 bedrooms which were all spacious and the beds were really comfy. Everyone slept really well. The bathrooms had a separate shower as well as a bath and nicely designed. Breakfast was amazing, a choice to suit everyone with very attentive staff:)
The only thing that was missing in the room was a bathrobe which I would have liked.
Location in beautiful village.
Fantastic place. Fabulous location.
The room was amazing. The location is wonderful
Evening dinner and menu could be much better. Car park was full when we arrived because there was a wedding in the Manor House and they had parked at the pub. Had to put cars outside our room, then at 7:30am we were asked to move them for the bin lorry. For such a lovely place this was a big let down.
They changed the menu from what was on the website which was annoying as we'd planned to have specific food.
In terms of experiences that should be on everyone’s bucket list, one of them is staying at an English country inn. These inns are truly their own style of experience and the pastoral nature of these inns is relaxing and spiritually grounding. There are many things to expect at an English country inn. Many folks expect an older building along with a staff that helps guests get the best types of experiences at the inn. Other things include modern amenities. One of the keys to a great English country inn experience is keeping the old while sneaking the modern in subtly. The good news for folks looking for a place like this is Slaughters Country Inn is exactly that place.
Slaughters Country Inn is exactly what a post card of an English country inn would look like. With a stone façade, this building is literally what you close your eyes and envision. With a quaint morning breakfast that can be enjoyed on the patio along with free parking and WiFi access, it’s easy to see why this hotel has so many fans that aren’t just English but dream of the English country inn. Furthermore, the hotel has some amazing natural views. It’s very easy to stay at this hotel and to see why folks come back so refreshed. The place is naturally relaxing.
Staying at the Slaughters Country Inn is the perfect way to have a great English country inn experience with all the great modern amenities that travelers expect.
