The setting and amenities at the Lodge are impeccable. We visited during the winter when many of the hiking options weren’t an option (at least for those of us with smaller kids) and there was still plenty of fun to be had. Pros (+) Arrive in the daytime, or be prepared with flashlights. Parking at the lodge is very difficult when crowded. Use the valet parking, although it will cost you - $20. Very poor lighting - a safety issue and why I won’t ever go back. The poor lighting is bad for parking and navigating from car to hotel, but is a feature for the night sky, which is amazing.
