Overview

Set in a garden of some ten acres, the Best Western Plus Le Canard Sur le Toit, Colomiers, France, sits a short drive from the Toulouse ring road and Blagnac airport, with an outdoor swimming pool and a sunbathing terrace in summer and a restaurant serving generous local cooking. Breakfast is a continental buffet of sweet and savoury choices alongside regional dishes, and the green, garden setting keeps things calm and restful just outside the city. The quiet grounds make an easy base for work or a break. Toulouse, the rose-pink city of brick on the Garonne, lies close by, home to the great basilica of Saint-Sernin, the riverside quays, and the aerospace works that built Concorde and the Airbus, with the Canal du Midi threading east toward the Mediterranean. After a day in the city or out among the Airbus hangars of the suburb, the garden is a welcome place to return to.
