Pros: Incredible location, it felt like living in a piece of history but still with all the luxuries you could expect at any high end accommodation. Marie was extremely accommodating and helpful, a lovely host. The breakfast was also amazing with lots of options and local fare. Would love to go back!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a rare 10 out 10 private hotel. The location (and view) coupled with hospitality shown by the patron as well as the remarkable authenticity of the actual building really leave a great memory. Very comfortable and clean and quiet . Book the suite even though it is a slight premium --breakfast included is always a nice perk especially the quality of food delivered.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exquisite. Spending the night in a real chateau, lovingly restored and furnished!! What a marvelous experience. Drinking a glass of rose on the terrace while talking with Marie the owner was a highlight . Cordes sur Ciel is a breathtaking village and a stay at maison bakea made it even more special!!

Pros: The history and scenery. The guest house had a lovely ambience.

Pros: A beautiful place with the best host .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We not only liked we loved EVERYTHING. The property was superb, the owners couldn’t have been more helpful, accommodating, friendly. They had already booked us a Restaurant (if we needed it.....which we did), and we had a wonderful meal. I mentioned it was my husbands birthday and they upgraded us from a smaller (albeit lovely) room to a suite, which was very much appreciated and was lovely. Honestly can’t think of a negative thing to say about the whole experience, from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Will definitely definitely go back hopefully for a longer stay, cannot wait. Thank you.
Cons: Nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved the ambience, history, hospitality and views. Bakea has been lovingly restored and is a wonderful experience if you enjoy boutique accommodation. We especially appreciated the beautiful homemade breakfast, dinner recommendation and stunning view over the valley. Thank you!
Cons: There’s a lot of steps which didn’t bother us but it would be hard for some people to navigate - especially carrying a suitcase. Small thing but the shower head kept ‘drooping’ which made it a bit hard to use.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cordes- sur - Ciel is the most beautiful hill top town surrounded by equally, beautiful countryside and stunning villages, that are definitely worth visiting. This peaceful, historic house will take you back in time. Marie, is the most elegant and caring hostess who wishes to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our room was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious ( bread, cheese, ham, jams, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, cake and home made croissants, taken in the most beautiful dining room of their home with views on to the terrace and beyond. Upon our arrival , without us having requested, Marie had already reserved for us a table at a good restaurant, 3-4 minutes walk, so we would avoid the tourist traps, how’s that for service? It was a beautiful restaurant and the food was delicious. The towns central square is 3-4 minutes walk also. We were also given maps and details of all the lovely surrounding villages to visit. A memorable stay.
Cons: We had to leave.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host and hostess of La Maison Bakea were fantastic. We were given a short history of this beautiful establishment which dates back to medieval time. The furnishings were authentic antiques and carefully chosen by the owners. Maria made us feel like we arrived to a special place and were treated like family. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful and all of the accommodations were first rate. We highly recommend La Maison Bakea for a restful and peaceful respite.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole experience of staying at Chalet Labistoul was fantastic. The location was ideal being at the end of a track, totally peaceful and close enough to be able to walk to the small town if you don't want to drive. The hosts were great with them being attentive to detail and available if needed. Great facilities if you wish to self-cater.
Cons: We can honestly say there was nothing we didn't like!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What is there not to like. We booked at 3.30pm and arrived at 5pm to be greeted with a lovely warm smile from Margot the owner who was out watering the plants. The room was on the ground floor and was delightful; plenty of space with our own ensuite which was bigger than some rooms we;ve stayed in. Both the owners were charming and welcoming, they couldn't do more to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was continental 'plus' with home made jams to go with the croisants and french bread. Highly recommended.
Cons: Nothing really. The pool was a little walk from the house (50m) but as we weren't going to use it, it didn't matter.
10.0 Excellent

The grounds and the lovely swimming pool, overlooking the neighbouring vineyards, were the perfect place to relax. Michèle and Jacques were generous and hospitable hosts. They went out of their way to ensure that our stay was a memorable one. Breakfast each morning, served by the pool, was an elegant affair with Michèle’s delicious homemade preserves and other treats. We were given a warm welcome and looked after very well during our 2 day visit. We were given detailed information about the area, tips on walks and places to eat, including a very good Michelin star restaurant. Pros: Very charming hotel in a wonderful location. Stuff very kind, breakfast very good. Highly recommend
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional position in the village with outstanding views from the rear over the valley below. Friendly, efficient staff, good dinner and breakfast.
Cons: I had dinner from their a la carte menu which included wine with each course. The first glass came with my starter but I had to ask for the next 2 glasses after they had brought my next 2 courses. In their defence by that time a table of 10 had arrived which diverted their attention from the several tables of 2 already eating. My wife wanted a starter from one fixed menu and a main from a different fixed menu which they were unable to agree to, although I offered to pay the cost of the higher priced fixed menu, saying that the menus were not interchangeable, which struck me as being rather pedantic. Neither of these issues prevented us from enjoying our meals. If I stayed their again (which is likely if in that area) I would pay extra for a better and most likely bigger room.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Room was too hot and airless, the breakfast was too expensive, and the staff were not very helpful or caring. A disappointment.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food.

Pros: Amazing value Spacious and very private Spa The bar was opened until late
Cons: All great
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The views were stunning and the whole experience was very romantic.
Cons: The charge to use the Jacuzzi and Sauna at 40 euro each was unrealistic.
7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely location. Superb staff. Lovely alfresco restaurant. Air conditioning very good.
Cons: Bedrooms lacked certain items of furniture ie bathroom chairs/stools and clothes hooks too high. Bedrooms lacked bedside tables and mattress was at least 6" too narrow for a very wide bed.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing country location. Quiet
Cons: Not much
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice scenery, large room. Friendly staff, we got early check in.
Cons: Impossible to have a shower without splashing the whole bathroom with water since there was no curtain etc. bathtub was cracked. Ants and dead spiders in the room. Mattress is overused and very hard.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Helpful staff
Cons: Dead insects behind glass in bathroom not very nice Main room very dark Lack of taxis from station and difficult to get to if you dont have a car
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Setting, rooms, staff, food and wine - superb
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were absolutely lovely! The views were stunning. The tasting menus and wine tasting were outstanding!
Cons: The breakfast should have been included in the price or be a higher standard. 19 euros was too expensive for what we got (e.g. we could have had freshly cooked warm croissant; hot bacon, tomatoes, avocado or mushrooms; proper coffee rather than from a machine)
7.9 Good
Pros: View from the rooms and the pool is outstanding and you truly feel like a chatelain living in a nice castle
Cons: Hotel’s Restaurant prices are very high and it’s unlikely will want to have dinner at the restaurant every day (food is great but i would say value for money could be improved given prices are very high). But hopefully there are nice and cheap restaurants a few kilometers away from the hotel.
6.3 Good
Pros: Swimming pool and facilities OK
Cons: Value for money is very poor. In the restaurant, the cocker wants to do his best but no special products. Prices are almost the same as a Michelin star restaurant but the taste is far from it. Except the local wine, everything was overpriced. The spa is accessible only upon reservation, it would be great to let the clients know upfront. Furniture of the room a bit outdated. Big deception even though it has a big potential.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great setting for the price. Peacefulness and tranquillity in the evening ,at night and in the morning.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was huge with lovely views. The host very friendly. Breakfast basic (croissant, bread and jam and tinned fruit) .Excellent coffee though!
Cons: The floor hadn't been vacuumed or mopped for a long time and there was black dust on the bedside table, maybe from old beams above. I left a more for the chambermaid but she didn't do any cleaning. There is no toilet paper holder, which is very unhygienic! Towels are old and thin.
