Pros:Price was right and room was clean...
Cons:...but very old and worn out. And the ice machine was broken.

Pros:The beds were very comfortable and the sheets were really nice. The pool was heated and refreshing.
Cons:They didn't have a crib for us to use for our little one and the fridge and microwave were added as an after thought.

Pros:Pool was very nice. Rooms seemed old but were very very clean!
Cons:Front desk is full of scammers. First they double charged my card, even after I approached them during the stay about the charges on my card. Then there was a sneaky 1.60 charge for safe insurance. Since I used kayak they charged my card directly for this. They said I signed for it and it wasn't verbal described because they said corporate can't ask if you are putting anything in the safe. They said its posted on the front desk. Yes that's only 1.60 but what else are charged and what if I didn't catch the overcharge. Very very shady! The clerk I called and spoke to said it was corporate's direction they were using regarding their policies. I am willing to bet econolodge doesn't know about it!

10.0 Wonderful
Pros:Andrew W. made our stay wonderful. He is attentive and friendly and efficient to every request. The Econo Lodge is clean and the breakfast was delicious and on time. We extended our stay at Econo Lodge to drive up to Durango to ride the steam locomotive to Silverton. There are hotels in Durango but Andrew was so good to us and Econo Lodge was so clean and quiet we chose to drive back to Cortez. We enjoyed two days in Mesa Verde while in Cortez. We also took a day trip to Hovenweep. Fabulous vacation destination. It was our first time to Cortez but it won't be our last.
