Pros: There was room to park our truck and trailer. Staff was very friendly. Motel very clean
Cons: No carpeting. Floors were BAeZrY cold!! No warm blankets. Room very cold when we got there. Took a while to warm up and had to leave heat on high to be warm enough to sleep. Of course that made it uncomfortably wRm during our sleep. Had to keep getting up to adjust the heat.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Don't let the pictures fool you, the rooms are small and finishes are cheapo. The bathroom was full of places for water intrusion into the walls and floor. Being on the third floor, I felt sorry for the mold the second floor people likely had.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Room was clean, but the air circulation was poor and stuffy
Cons: The desk clerk was rude and arrogant, she charged us $15 for pet cleaning after we left, even we didn't even have a pet but she didn't care and in the middle of our discussion, she just hang up the phone on me, terrible experience!!

Pros: Easy to get in & out of room as it's a drive up to your room motel. Very pet friendly and easy to walk the dogs from the room!
Cons: Not so great continental breakfast. Stale bagels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ambience, character, old style motel but everything worked well and was very clean. Rooms are well equipped with all the usual conveniences. Nice area outside to play chess, eat, or read. Our best value stay during a two week road trip.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The time are themed to the year of the door number on each unit which was a cool idea. The room was big and clean.
Cons: The 1968 room they put us in was right next to the water tank/pump for the whole building. Everytime someone turned on the water in another room it sounded like a loud water jet engine right by our headboard followed by a loud thump when they turn the water off. This was all through the night for us so we barely got any sleep. The people next door with their barking damn dog didn't help.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, great location, incredible decor inside and out.
Cons: Everything was great.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds, retro decor, friendly and helpful staff. Keurig and kcups in the room. Cute little dinner for breakfast.
Cons: The shower head makes a high pitched noise. Linens were a little stained. Continental breakfast was mostly starches.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The property has common areas outside with tables and a grill. The room numbers are tied to years in history, and the decorations tie to the year matching the room number.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, quality, comfort and modern convenience disguised in retro 60—80s theme. For boomers and Gen Xers, you will love this motel and it's safe, at a great locations, and outstanding parking spaces. Lady who checked us in was awesome
Cons: That we couldn't stay longer and take a pic with Elvis when we checked in,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the decor and the very friendly staff. Despite the name, Retro Inn, the rooms were modern and comfortable. But the place was decorated with vintage stuff, from the posters on the wall (I was in room 1964 - Beatlemania), to the vintage camping trailer and phone booth by the office. it was great.
Cons: I wish there had been a more comfortable chair in the room....I don't like hanging out on the bed.
6.0 Good
Pros: Great location. Decent property with grassy areas. Very convenient parking. Clean.
Cons: Expensive for the type of room (older style with an attempt at bringing back the retro feel). Although I visited during high season, so higher price was expected. My room was very small.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, nice linens and towels. Quiet even tho it's on a main street. Nice outside seating and grassy area with BBQ. No breakfast or anything due to covid but bet it would be nice if they were able.
Cons: Bathroom was very small, but we were warned. We opted to have the room with the king bed. Keurig pods but no machine in room, we could have ask but we travel with our own coffee machine.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional value for the money paid!
7.0 Good
Pros: We stayed during the Corona virus episode but the room was quite clean and the person who checked us in was very friendly and accommodating. Their kitchen was shut down temporarily due to state virus restrictions but they do serve breakfast normally. It is a classic roadside motel. Nothing fancy but it does have a fun statue of Elvis and a cute vintage camper parked out front. The room had a fun photos from the '60s and I would say that the rooms are a decent size. It was a good value for the money.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I recommend this to anyone going thru, completely awesome!
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Very retro opted to stay here as it was pet friendly and closer to my daughter's home. When we arrived we were told our 2 small pets would be $35 charge, and that they had sent me an email stating they would collect pet fees on arrival. Mind you I have 2 small dogs that have been traveling with us fulltime and we dont leave them alone The email which I finally found said rates and fees collected at motel. No wording anywhere about pets fees. Even in reviews someone stated they were charged a $20 dollar deposit. The other issues were signage in lobby states $200 charge if you dont identify breed of dog and they will come into your room when your gone to check on animals. We spent very little time in the room. Just sleeping and showers. There was also a small Tupperware bowl in bathroom with a rag in it for unknown reason. So final price I could have stayed at newer hotel. Lesson learned.

6.7 Good
Pros: The location is great. Right downtown and near the major crossroads through Cortez. The bed was comfy.
Cons: The place is run down--sloppy painting, the door was missing trim, etc. Not terrible and the place seemed clean, but it was dingy and old feeling. At least the price was good.
6.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, and roku tv.
Cons: My plugs fell out of all outlets. Could not charge or use electronics.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was spacious and the basic accommodations were met.
Cons: The parking space was a little tight and the tenant would had been a bit nicer and made us feel more welcome.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Easy to find. Bed sheets and towels were clean. Shower pressure was good.
Cons: The manager did not want to provide more towels for the room. His customer service was poor. AC & Refrigerator in the room did not work. We were depending to freeze our ice packs, could not. Dust all over in rooms. Breakfast was stale bagels. Dirty ar
6.0 Good
Pros: Manager was very nice
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Room condition and cleanliness were poor. Room smelled moldy. The door of the room was very flimsy and it made us feel uneasy. Checking around, none of the rooms appeared to be in any better condition. Photos are very deceiving. It's much more rundown.
1.0 Poor
Pros: nothing
Cons: if you advertise a pool it should be usable. If you advertise breakfast I expect a bit more than bread 3 days old and slightly flavored water for juice. There are not enough parking slots, and no policy where to park.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: No hot water! Hard to communicate with staff
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Can't remember any details but I think in general all was fine.
Cons: Don't remember any flaws.
6.3 Good
Pros: Desk clerk was friendly & efficient. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Door knob broken & repaired with duct tape, towels stained, outside of building in disrepair.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very friendly staff
Cons: I gave it 2 stars for cleanliness because I never saw any roaches. Everything was dirty. Sheets had stains, pillows had blood stains, towels had stains, threadbare... basically using linen that needs to be tossed.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: The manager was very very rude calling me stupid!! Grrrr.

7.9 Good
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Near city park (for walking dog).
Cons: Shower head needed replaced and bathroom sink faucet dripped.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was very central, easy to get to Mesa Verde. We could walk across the street to Kroger which was great for our morning there. The room was exactly what we needed for our overnight stay.
Cons: Rooms could use a little updating. It was clean, but it still had that feeling like it wasn’t. And it’s a little loud which could have been our luck with who was next to us.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good location, close to everything. Comfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean friendly staff free coffee and ice
Cons: No
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Vintage style, very clean, very friendly, a few blocks from the center of town. Why pay more for the corporate, sterile feel of a chain? We picked this because it was affordable - and will stay there the next time we're in Cortez.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: If you like 50's era retro motels you will love this - large rooms with separate dressing area and separate bathrooms. Not your chain hotel at all. Our room had a strange noise that we could not identify so they put us in a second room with no noise. Seems the first room's phone was off the hook slightly which caused a high pitched noise. Staff was excellent and recommended wonderful restaurant not too far away. We had a microwave and fridge in our room also. Both rooms were clean and comfy.
Cons: No coffee in room, only available in the office which does not open until 8 am. But there is a Giant gas station with a wonderful coffee bar just down the street.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Noisy air conditioning
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I am staying in the weird time of quarantine. They completely respect my diligence and privacy. Everything here is old and saggy but clean and ready to serve. If you like "vintage"..... The layout of the room enabled me to keep things out of my way (long-term stay with a cat) without feeling like I was on Hoarders. Lots of tile made it easier to disinfect/ keep my room clean (is this for real?) The staff is really helpful.
Cons: The internet is slow and sometimes sporadic. I had to stretch for a complaint because overall I pleased. I was just having to fill out and sign forms online so it made me a little impatient.

4.6 Okay
Cons: Maintenance of room very poor.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They seemed very willing to please. The room was very clean and spacious in the beds were comfortable. The room had a small refrigerator and a microwave which was nice.
Cons: The breakfast was terrible, just cold cereals and bagels. Powdered coffee creamer and instead of half-and-half...ick. There was nothing for diabetics, no protein. The pool was not open and the hot tub was in a small cramped room that was right next to a busy road. The refrigerator was not plugged in and there were notes threatening a five dollar charge if we used a towel or a washcloth to clean up spills. There was, however, a basket of rags provided in case of a spill. The toiletries provided were probably the cheapest available they came in a package like ketchup at a fast food restaurant. The motel was very overpriced. I thought I was getting something a little nicer and quieter because of the price, and I was prepared to pay more but was very disappointed when I checked in. Fortunately it was only for one night.
6.5 Good
Pros: Easy to find.
Cons: Breakfast was sparse. No gluten free, decaf, no eggs. Below level of most places the included breakfast.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: Aggressive and unprofessional staff that yells at customers. Not receiving the room I reserved, paid for and confirmed would accept my service animal. Being given a small and dirty room that had dead bugs and spiders and mold on the walls.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good.
Cons: The wi-fi was very weak.
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast is great.
Cons: The WiFi is very weak.
5.1 Okay
Pros: It had rooms available when rooms elsewhere were reserved for a bike race and the nearby National Park which was the reason I came to Cortez, Colorado.
Cons: The beds were uncomfortable. The breakfast was sparse.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: This is a great place to stay.we just needed a good nights sleep, so the added bonus of the hot tub and breakfast made our stay even a better value!
Cons: No complaints! The owner was very personable and helpful....while the rooms are small, every other aspect is great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome place all around. Will be returning in the future without a doubt
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The pueblo trail
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is one of a kind and worth staying. We were only passing through Cortez so had limited time to see all. Would highly recommend staying and doing some exploring to the other ruins in the area. The breakfast was the best ever and everyone was very pleasant.
Cons: The bed was a little saggy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I could stay here for several days and never leave the property. It was awesome as was the breakfast provided.
Cons: Nothing
4.2 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was buffet style and at least better than a comfort inn.
Cons: The bed was very soft and sunken in the middle, even without anyone in it, which was much worse. The shower drain was clogged and we had to stand in 2 inches of dirty water. It was very disgusting. I had to ask them to clean it for our second night. Thank
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Funky setting and out of the way. The kiva was the best. Laid back atmosphere with lots of info on the area. Comfy setting. Driving distance to many interesting sites. This is definitely not like all of the hotel/motels in the area. You can see the milky way at night.
Cons: Thin walls so everyone behaved. The hovenweep trail next door is not the greatest. You will see much more on their property. About 20 minutes from downtown Cortez.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was the best ever

Pros: Total experience
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room.
Cons: Too close to the main road. Why build a hotel where road noise is a problem?? My granddaughter's room was full of roa noise. My room was better as it was in the back of the hotel not facing the road. Road noise is why I would not recommend this hotel.

Pros: Hampton Inn is my go-to for travel lodging. Can't beat the breakfast and coffee!

1.0 Poor
Cons: Water didn't drain out of tub while showering.the jets in the hot tub shot up into the air about 1 foot plus sharp crystal like rocks in the bottom coffee maker didn't work right and beds were way too soft and rather high had to jump up to get on them
