Pros:Beachfront, close to bars and food, 24 hour staff, usually the wifi worked, maid came everyday, free breakfast but it's only waffles, oatmeal, and apples. Did get upgraded to oceanfront for waiting so long for my room to be ready
Cons:Small parking lot, birds and sand always in the pool, never changed the sheets in the bed for a whole week, room wasn't ready at 3 like it said so they upgraded us. The maid staff was rude and insanely slow

Cons:Rooms are in need of maintains the doors are hard to open. We had a room with a kitchen which was a waste as no pots or plates or anything to cook with. The Hot water ran out very early so a lot of cold showers

Pros:I had to go to Daytona for a Seminar. This hotel was in an excellent location, on the beach. It is walking distance to the boardwalk, pier, band shell, many shops and restaurants and to the Ocean walk outdoor mall. It is a mediocre older Florida hotel but what made it exceptional for me was the super friendly staff. The staff treated me like I was a VIP from the time I walked in the door until check out. I was in the breakfast room eating the free waffles and I asked a male hotel staffer a question. He said " I don't know but let me find out for you" and he left and came back with an answer for me. I was shocked, what SUPER CUSTOMER SERVICE! I have got to say, the staff treated me better than I have been treated at 5 star hotels. Plus I got FREE WIFI, FREE BREAKFAST and FREE PARKING and a room that was a fraction of a cost of hotels just 2 blocks up the beach. Why is it that an inexpensive older hotel can provide these services and a brand new 5 star hotel has to nickel and dime you? I would stay here again.
Cons:I would stay here again; however the negatives were: They are right next to the Ocean Deck bar and there was music playing until 2 am...bring earplugs and possibly a fan to drown out the music and you'll be fine. Also, when I was there October 2014 the pool and Jacuzzi were closed for remodeling. I guess that was reflected in the super cheap price I paid. There is a huge pool right outside called the Atlantic ocean anyway! I was happy because I saved a lot of money, I was close to where I wanted to be and that was what was important to me.

Pros:All of the staff that we interacted with were very friendly. The front desk lady was very nice at check in and answered all of our questions. We met a few of the maintenance guys in the elevator and they interacted with my son each time we saw them and they even recommended a great local place to grab lunch. Great beachfront rooms for the price!
Cons:The bed was not too comfy, but we saw them unloading new mattresses upon arrival so looks like updates are in progress. The furniture and carpets were well worn but I understand that this a a well used beachfront hotel and I am happy with the price I payed for our stay!

Pros:Great location and a great price. I have been staying at this hotel for about 20 years when I come to Daytona. The staff is nice and helpful. I like that I can park and just walk everywhere I want to go.
Cons:I know that the hotel is doing some renovations, but they still have some work to do. The breakfast area doesn't need much, but it would be great to have waffles and maybe some fresh fruit. The elevators are slow. If you are on the lower floors, you may just want to use the stairs.
