Where do I start! Embassy suites down in California is a great location with plenty of dining, stores, and fun things to do with the kids. However, the hotel facility itself from the entry to your bedroom was extremely hot. The carpet filled with stains. Food left in hallways for three days. When you enter the room at first look it looks OK. Shower is full of mole, tile slimy at your feet. Gnats f...

My stay was mediocre and not worth the money I paid for the room. I booked the Embassy Suites Downey for two nights so that I had a place to get ready for my wedding on Saturday, 6/17. I checked in on Friday evening and noticed the elevators were dirty. I figured, “Eh, it’s later on a Friday. They will be clean tomorrow.” Those elevators were always dirty. My room was clean. Unfortunately, the cle...

I was traveling in a difficult situation; we had to travel out of town for surgery. The staff were so kind, the room was very comfortable, the location was convenient with everything you need close by. At reception they loaded me up with free snacks. It was a lovely experience to have in the midst of a stressful experience.

Pros (+) I liked the brands they used as in coffee, creamer, etc and in the toiletries, it was something I recognized and new what to expect in performance. I like that they conserve water and energy by waiting to change your sheets and towels. But would still change it daily if you asked.
Cons (-) The hair dryer was a little too weak for me but I guess it should for those who like that. Just took longer to dry my hair.

Cons (-) Even though the is no smoking the room had a slight smoke smell. Don't know if the rooms need to be more aired out or something?

Pros (+) Wifi did not work in my room and hotel had no explanation or help to fix problem other than to give me free wifi. Useless. Room had mildew smell. Front area of suite is not functional.
