Great Location away from the Bustle
The O'Callaghan Mont Clare is located walking distance from all the sights, but away from the noise of the city center. There is a loading zone right in front on the street so that you can unload your car before returning your rental. You would not be advised to use a car for sightseeing in Dublin. The rooms are average size for Europe, clean and quiet. Front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. A cab to the airport costs about 25 EUR from here. There is no easy bus/train access to the airport from this location. There are good restaurants and pubs as well as a Centra and a SPAR within walking distance.
the location, room was nice.
you need to check out parking before hand as parking is not at hotel it is down the road a bit. but parking is reasonable at 10euro for 24hr.
The room was always cleaned to a high standard and it was easy to get to all areas of Dublin from the hotel.
We found some of the staff to be unhelpful and the hotel is quite dated.
I liked the location, and convenience, and the breakfast restaurant.
There was some confusion about where wireless internet connection was available (I had the impression initially that it was only in the lobby), and there seemed to be inconsistency about the furnishing of each room (I had an armchair the first time I stayed there, but not the second, and was told that that was the way it was, each room varied).
The location of the hotel was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bar lunch was fine. Would stay again.
The room was quite dark and small. Car park a little difficult to find even with directions.
