Great location, good breakfast. Possibility to store luggage after checkout.
Drunk people in the dorm (puking), not the hostel's fault though. Bathrooms could have been slightly cleaner.
1. The location was good 2. Our room was cleaned up every day 3. The vending machine next to the reception 4. Free towels!
1. The toilet was a horror, our toilet made the loudest noise every time after we flushed it 2. There's no small bedside lamp for the people who woke up early and didn't want to turn on the big light cause the others are still sleeping.
The room I stayed was great (4 bed). The room service was fine, made sure everywhere was always clean. The kitchen is nice as well. Generally, I had a great time there and would recommend the Times Hostel.
The hostel is in the heart of the city centre. Usually very noisy with pubs and darts all night.
The location was really good, the bathrooms in the rooms were the best ive ever seen in a hostel.
I reserved a mixed gender room which is usually fine for me - even though i am travelling alone, theres usually boys and girls. However, they put me, a small 19 year old girl in a room with 5 grown men. I was not happy about this and when i said something they said that theer was nothing that could be done. If your a girl travelling along, DEFINATELY just go in a girls room.
Location is fantastic, facing Trinity University and just a stones throw away from Grafton street and its many wonders, the breakfast was adequate a paid option of a full cooked breakfast would be good. The staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean. The people that stay here are a diverse, caring and friendly bunch. The bathroom facilities were a bonus being en-suite and always clean.
In the latest hostels.. see Be Hostel Intendente Lisbon.. a key card is allocated to provide access to all customer areas including the front door, dorm door and bed locker. The bedlocker is sufficiently big enough for a solo travelers needs and can only be opened using the customers electronic key card. The curtains and the multi-media input sockets as well as a small shelf and reading light are all things that The Times could implement at relatively low cost to raise the standards in what is already one of the best Dublin hostels you might stay in.
A stay at The Times Hostel - College Street places you in the heart of Dublin, steps from The Book of Kells and Trinity College. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
