The hotel was clean, but older and it showed. The shower was clogged when I arrived and the AC was not functioning in the room. I was able to get the issues fixed the 2nd day of my stay and then the AC broke again during the night and it was sweltering in the room again.

Lack of security in the parking ramp in an are that has a high crime rate. Think twice before staying in Duluth. I wish someone would have warned me before my window was smashed out and my vehicle was robbed.

Pros (+) The room was nice and clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating. You are able to take the sky way over to Canal Park, just a nice 10 min walk. The view of the lake, ships and bridges was excellent.
Cons (-) There were 2 pools which was nice, but lots of kids, just glad I didn't get a pool side room, very loud. The on-site restaraunt was closed for remodeling, but we did walk to Sammy's Pizza just a block away. Excellent old school pizzas.

Cons (-) Our room overlooked the atrium pool. During pool hours (almost ALL our time there), so unable to take a nap at 4:00 after hawk watching. And until the pool closed at 10:30, VERY noisy. I would stay here again ONLY if could get an interior room away from the pool.

Pros (+) Location. Front desk guy on a Friday around 3pm. We got a hall room, the pool area rooms are probably really loud.
Cons (-) Housekeeping knocking on doors loudly in the early morning. Lots of young teenage boys. Elevators.

Pros (+) Very nice & well managed hotel. Close to everything, and quite comfortable. I can see where if you had a room by a pool it might be too noisy. We did not, we had a room with an amazing view of the harbor and we had a lovely and very relaxing time. Would recommend and we will come again.
