Cons: The rooms on the top floor don't have balcony and outdated. Towels were old and ripped. Mattresses were firm, but have a whole in the middle. Breakfast looks good in picture, but the portions are small and one has to ask for more what made us uncomfortable. Every table gets the same size platter (one, two or three guest). The price difference is too high when booking online or in person.

The breakfast is fantastic, the scenery is beautiful and there is plenty to see and do nearby. This b&b is well located for mountain walks, excursions and train journeys. Pros: We absolutely loved our stay. Gerti was such a lovely host - incredibly welcoming, friendly and funny she made us feel at home. Location - perfect. Short walk to the free bus that takes you up and back from ski hill (takes 5 mins at most). Can also walk to lift (15 minutes without ski gear) but bus is so easy everyone uses it. Great little ski shop round the corner where I got my board waxed and we bought lift passes and got local advice about good restaurants!

Pros: It was so clean! Shower was good. And the location was perfect - easy access to the village: plenty of restaurants, apres ski, and ski hire shops. Walking distance to the mountain which is a big plus. I have to mention Gerti the host, she was so welcoming and friendly, couldn’t do enough for us! Would definitely stay again.

Cons: The only thing missing perhaps was tea and coffee facilities in the room, also the pillows and duvets weren’t the best. But it really is hard to fault this place, it’s excellent value for money! Highly recommend.

Pros: This is authentic Austrian accommodation and the service, mainly provided by the wonderful Gerti, could not be better. All areas of the property I experienced were clean and the location itself is just a few minutes walk into the centre of Söll; so nicely away but still so close! From my room on the top floor I had a good view of the surrounding mountains and village. There is a fridge in the breakfast room for use by all guests, plus glasses available to use for guests own drinks beyond breakfast. Fortuitously on my first evening a band played in the garage of the property (I think to mark a regular guest's 90th birthday) and the sound of the traditional music was superb and added to the authenticity of where I was! There is a nice family feel about the place and I would stay again.

Cons: My booking was fairly short notice and the room I was consequently allocated was of the two single beds in tandem style which because of the wooden frame separation between the two beds is limiting based upon how tall an occupier may be. Now the property warned of this at the time of the booking so totally fair on their part and in keeping with the excellent service I experienced but just a warning to check that if you are allocated this room at time of booking, your height won't be a problem to your sleeping comfort. Also beware that the great balcony provision is a shared balcony; so no dividers on the balcony in-between the rooms it serves. There was no in-room safe. The village school is opposite and soccer centre next to this but these did not bother me.

Pros: EVERYTHING!!! honestly, i have been traveling a lot and have been staying in many hotels/hostels/apartments and i must say that this place exceeded my expectations!!! The Location is amazing! Amazing view, located surrounding breathtaking mountains and little river that is whooshing so perfectly that even my one year baby that has sleeping problems slept like a baby!!!the whole night! The hosts Tom and Christine were super nice and hospitality was over the top! The rooms are very spacious, super clean and the amenities are just great! All you need is to bring your self! very well equipped kitchen : dishwasher, dishes,coffee machine, oven, boiler and basically everything you need!!!, the design of the room is very warm country style yet modern.The breeze in the room is super great, even on hot summer days it is cool inside.The bed is super comfy and soft, the pillows are of feathers and not that cheap polyester stuff! We had a great night sleep! The Tv has many many chanels to choose from even for the little ones (kika, disney chanel and so.) The Bathroom is super clean and even has a hair dryer! and a good one! We truly think that this is the best place we have ever stayed at!!! And will come back soon again and again and again :)

Pros: The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, meeting me at the train station to take my luggage up the hill. The location is beautiful, a fairly steep climb out of town but fun to stay up in the hills and a good starting off point for hiking. Beautiful and generous breakfast platter.

The quality of bath etc. is absolutely ok! The breakfast is more than enough ... it´s huge and great! We really can recommend the location!

Cons: We liked it a lot walking 30 minutes to the location (it´s obligatory). You have to park your car in the valley - might be that some people will not like to walk 30 minutes to the location (in the mountain).

Pros: We knew the hotel from a previous stay and like the location, parking is available, the rooms are very nice and comfortable. Everything is spick-'n-span clean. Staff at breakfast is super friendly.

Cons: It is already very good, but would even be better if the rooms would have air-con. Staff at reception is a bit of a hit and miss, some are friendly and competent, others unfortunately slow and a little bit grumpy. But overall, it is certainly a place we come to stay again.

Pros: The room was very nice, clean, quite and comfortable with a nice view of castle. The breakfast was super amazing with wide variety of dishes and excellent coffee with very helpful and polite serving staff. The location was very central, few minutes walk to the old town and the castle.

Cons: The restaurant in the hotel does not have a proper dinner menu, it is a wine bar with salads. We had a studio room accommodating three adults, with a bathroom with glass walls, so it was pretty in convenient to take a shower, always two people had to step out while one was in the shower.

Pros: Spacious, clean, nice views, very friendly and helpful hosts, quite close to the main ski resorts of the area. (Söll is the closest and seems to be the most versatile and well-groomed). Excellent quality for the price paid. Read the reviews of my predecessors, they have already done all the praising job.

Cons: Maybe not really what I didn't like, but what I think future guests must be aware of: 1. The price at the Bookings.com does not include the compulsory cleaning fee (40 Euros per apartment). 2. The place is picturesque, but one must be aware of the very narrow, winding and steep road which leads to it. Be sure of your driving skills, good tires and, if it snows, have snow chains ready. 3. Hosts' English is very basic which is almost fully re-compensated by their extremely friendly attitude, though. 4. Wireless Internet access is free but censored: some ports essential for gaming are blocked and access to sites which the provider regards as adult (albeit which are perfectly legal) is restricted. 5. The apartments' capacity to accommodate guests seems to be more extensive than provided in the info at the Booking.com. We (3 adults and a 14 y.o. child) had to book 2 apartments because their maximum capacity was advertised as two adults and two adults with two children respectively. In fact, both apartments were two-bedroom and had 4 sleeping places each, with bed linen and even a small chocolate on each bed. The solution was very comfortable for us - everyone had their own bedroom, we had two kitchens and two bathrooms (the latter was crucial in the mornings!), but the tiny aftertaste of somewhat overpriced holidays remained. 6. It's not about the premises, it's about the ski resorts nearby: the color coding of pistes may be misleading. The blue ones had hard fragments which in some other resorts (e.g. at Chopok in Slovakia) would be marked red; many red pistes had a few very steep slopes which were black enough for me. By the end of the stay I started to think that it gave more fun to ski riding, but novices may feel terrified sometimes.

Cons: Paid 10 Euros extra for the dog to stay. It said on the booking form dogs MAY be charged.Immediately after making a non cancellable booking was advised that it was 10 Euros for one night. Too far from the town.
