PROS: The idea that I was going to be able to relax and enjoy a night outCONS: If would have been better if my friend had not been blacklisted from staying there. A girlfriend of hers left a written comment on her last visit that was unfavorable after there last stay. She stated that the room was not what they had asked for, asking for two adjoining rooms with one bed each, but received one room with two beds. My girlfriend did not write the comment, and had actually asked me to make reservations there because she liked the room anyway. The check-in time was 3:00pm we arrived soon there after. Before I was able to entered the office the my friend was told the room was not ready yet and she needed to come back in a couple of hours. She amerged from the office before i able to enter, and told me what she was told. So we decided to have drinks at the bar located under the motel. We did what people do at bars, assuming we were done driving for the day we consumed a fair amount alcohol. Returning to the office a couple of hours later, but upon entering the office the owner pointed at my girlfriend and said, "you can't stay herr any more". Being under the influence I knew it would be bad idea to argued the facts with him, and left without comment. If he called the police I would go to jail and that would not fix an already bad situation. We were not able to check-in, and in the processes forfeited my $115.00 reservation. Which was less than dealing with police would have cost, but still allot of money. We where forced to call a friend for a ride and leave the car parked over night. Had the person behind the desk been up front about the problem to begin with, my girlfriend and I could have pled our case sober and perhaps reached a solution, but instead the desk clerk just made matters worse by not being up front. I feel I was cheated out of a night of fun and relaxation, not to mention $115.00 for the non refundable reservation.
