Very helpful and knowledgeable manager, delicious and authentic food, comfortable rooms
A slightly high respect of the manager to his employees could further improve the atmosphere in the Riad.
Breakfast was wonderful! We were very well taken care of. And the restaurant had excellent meals.
Our host was always available and glad to give any advice requested. He found us a driver named Mohammed who transported us to visit two towns and then drove us to Rabat with full history and current event information about every aspect of our queries. What a deal to have a tour guide as a driver! Mr. Idrissi also recommended a great hotel for us on the beach in Casablanca. Andalib had excellent food and superior service. They serve drinks if you request them with dinner or at the bar. We were very happy in the location on the outer edge of the medina. The riad is beautifully appointed with tasteful flourishes.
Sometimes there was a gentleman who smoked at the bar that wafted into the room above. Su
So many points to highlight about this lovely place in the middle of the medina. 1) Mr. Idrissi, the owner, is both welcoming and knowledgable, and simply a great person to get to know. As the other reviews suggests, he gives an excellent and very useful introduction to the city upon your arrival. 2) Breakfast is rich and diverse. 3) The rooms are big, beautiful and clean. 4) The location of the riad is very useful if you expect to use taxis going out of the medina. The riad is located in the only place in the medina where taxis are allowed (otherwise no motorised vehicles are permitted) and we found it useful to be able to get out our and immediately get a taxi ( also makes the arrival and departure very easy). 5) We traveled with a child and the riad was able to prepare her special meals in the evening (pasta, soups, fries) making it easier to travel with a child. 6) Would definitely suggest going for a day long trip with the company that the riad uses for external trips / airport pick up. We only did the new city tour with them and an airport drop off but now wish did a longer drive with them too ( especially after meeting our airport driver).
Reibel Idressi the proprietor could not have been more helpful and kind with his time. He certainly set out to assist us in every detail. The location was superb being just outside the Medina but fully accessible by car/taxi. Room was very comfortable but the food was exceptional-both my wife and I enjoyed the food each evening. Whilst the Riad is not 5* you get a 5* experience. We
