Wonderfully well kept, very clean and incredibly ornate. The owner is very welcoming and helpful, organised our taxi and a guide (who was brilliant and worth the money). Location was ideal, close enough to walk into the central souk area but far away enough to be quiet and calm yet atmospheric. View from the terrace is good and a nice place for a tea and cigarrette! Would advise eating there too as the lemon tagine was awesome.
Location on the booking.com website is way off - it's not very near the Riad Fez at all! Is actually just a few yards from the Bab Ziat (gate)
We loved Riad Dar Charifa. Its situated near the city walls, and easy accessable by taxi. Staff is very friendly, especially our friend Mouhamed. He was really great. Breakfast is also ok for Morocco style..no ham and cheese, but acceptable. It has no pool,but air condition helps the heat.Highly recommendable Riad.

The manager requested cash. when I attempted to pay by Visa, I was not able to as she said her machine would only accept pin numbers(I think a ruse)I obtained cash from an ATM ,a long haul in the heat to the ATM.
The cosiness of the place and the personalised service by the personnel . The decor, easy going atmosphere and welcoming attitude and service of all the people that I dealt with (from the owner Mr. Megid, to all the staff Myryem, Mohamed Ali, our excellent cook Hajiba, and the help Jamila, and last but not least Khaled our guide who was arranged for us by the hotel staff...).Unique experience.
