Galt Villas Hotel

First and foremost, this was a bargain at c. $75 a night including tax. This is an older property which is now combined with the Royal Palace Hotel which is just across the parking lot. I confirmed my reservation with Heidi by phone a day in advance and she was terrific. She noted that I would not be charged for parking since I was arriving by Uber and that there was no longer a charge for the beach shuttle since it no longer operates. Check-in was quick and my reservation was accurate. As requested, we had a room with a king bed on the ground floor. The room was immaculate and had been recently renovated along with updated furnishings. The flat screened tv had c. seventy channels. There was a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. There was no noise from other guests. It had a large, clean, heated pool with plenty of chairs and cushions. You are able to sign out pool/beach towels from the front desk. There is a tiki bar/restaurant on-site. There is a CVS across the street. A supermarket, Dunkin Donuts, and other eateries are just a five to ten minute walk. We enjoyed take out meals on the patio which has plenty of tables and chairs. The local bus service stops right across the street.

The hotel is right on A1A so you do get some traffic noise in the day, but it was fairly quiet at night. As noted by other reviewers, this hotel is not on the beach. The right of way is a good twenty minute walk. On the other hand, the low rate more than makes up for it.

The location is great,, The staff are friendly and the rooms, clean & comfortable. Tiki bar food is wonderful. Dimitri was great, and the server from the day shift remembers us from a year ago.

Location was great. Plenty of options for dining, casual and fine, and several choices of Bar & Grill places within walking distance. Room was big enough for a long stay. Full kitchen was a plus. TV picture was awesome. The room decor was very tasteful and current. Towels and sheets were of a nice quality. Room was very clean.

Outside appearance of building and parking lot looks shabby. I was very happy to see the interior was very nice and clean. I was unable to adjust the air conditioning. You should leave instructions on how to set the a/c. The coffee didn't agree with me. Shower faucet water was difficult to adjust, either too hot or too cold. Bed has too firm. Unsure if there was an elevator to the second floor. Toilet in bathroom is very close to the wall. That might be an issue with a larger person. I was okay with the last two items, but I was thinking of others.
