The magical experience of staying in a real castle, you are transported into a different world. It is surrounded by a quaint little commune of houses, a bar and a fairly decent restaurant and the most fabulous views. It is very very special and incredibly good value. I couldn’t recommend it more.

    Nothing at all.

Amazing stay, at an amazing place! After all, it's a medieval castle: the vibe, the view, the peace, everything was great. The stuff is very friendly (Special thanks to Irina) and makes sure that you get the most out of your stay - really enjoyed the breakfast with local products :) looking forward to our next visit

    Can't thing of anything

Loved the history, all the little rooms to explore,

Breakfast was scarce, no coffee in the bedroom, no restaurant on the day we arrived

So cool to be allowed to free roam a castle. Very interesting property and great host.

I can honestly say that this is my favorite place on earth. This is my fourth visit and I will be coming back. The feeling when you manage to fit your car thought the narrow street and in to the parking, and find your way trough tone of the gardens to the reception area, it’s just as exiting every time. To stay foo a night just passing trough, as a base for a week or as a calm and quiet travel back some hundreds of years, to write or to just exist, it’s perfect. The staff is helpful and sweet, the rooms are amazing to sleep and just to be in. And the big living rooms are great for doing some art or eating some small cold meals, playing board games with your companion, and you have to try and do this barefoot. The tiles and the floors are almost soft and smooth from al the feet that have wandered over the centuries. Barefoot, with a book or a typewriter and no phone or electronics is the best way (as I recommend at least) to get the full experience. And if you want to enjoy a bottle of local wine and sit on the big walls of the castle over-looking the city, the ocean and the beautiful nature you can do this, I recommend the wall between the upper stage bedrooms (there’s a blue wooden door) and the ghost tower, that’s my magical place. The breakfast is great, the beds, the big windows with an unlimited flow of fresh wind is fantastic.

The breakfast coffee was better some years ago, I don’t know why, but I think they changed from the bialetti pressure can to a capsule machine. But it’s still okay so no worries!
